we're doing a great job of leaving them wide open.

Edwards really looking like a freshman out there. Least impressive of the three freshmen for sure. Must be doing something in practice that he’s not showing in these first two games to get back to back starts.

Any help out there?

https://www.flohoops.com/events/6829297-...ens/videos

You can always just type James Madison into the search to find old games. You can watch old games as well - switch to FloFootball if you want to watch old football games - all of the different Flo entities are covered by your subscription.

As to discussion of what is the best deal, I would think if you watch both football and basketball, the year deal will be best. You can get the spring season this year and the 21-22 football season as well the first month of BB 21-22 as well for the $96 yearly rate.

Yes on computer .....no on the Roku app (they have some old stuff in the archives ). Hopefully they update the app since I prefer using the Roku

Dukes overcome being down early to take a 38-35 lead into halftime.

Pretty evenly matched in the stats column with NSU in terms of shots, fouls, FTs, etc

Pleased to see that we're 12-13 on FTs.

A rough/slow start to the game for the Dukes, but they got hot and played some good defense. Would like to see more ball movement when guys get in trouble, though. I noticed a few instances of a guy losing the handle or getting double teamed and forcing up a shot (practically throwing it at the glass) rather than looking for an kick out. All in all though, I don't know if last year's team has this response to an early deficit. I certainly don't think they go into halftime with the lead. Let's see if they can keep it going in the second half, or if they come out slow again.

The Dukes struggled much of the first half, but took the lead late and are up 38-35.

For it being Norfolk State’s first game and missing their best player, they were more organized especially on defense. Lots of defensive changes between man ball pressure, full court traps, and half court zone. That has the JMU offense out of sorts.

No sight of Fredericks, Hodge, or Christmas so we still don’t have a full picture of what the team will look like.

Side note - it appears Coach By isn’t happy with Mensah. He got benched after 3 minutes and I don’t disagree. Dude needs to play like a big man. Make him angry and coach him into living in the paint where he can leverage his 6’10”

I like the defensive intensity. NSU did not score much after their 20-9 lead. Nice comeback. We need some shooters and the recognition of what is a good/bad 3 point shot. We have some guys with competitive fire it seems.

The opening before announcing the starting lineup took forever.

Cannot wait to get to a game there.

I believe announcers stated NSU is returning a lineup that has logged a ton of minutes in past seasons. We are working on getting that “cohesion”.

I was expecting a slow start but seeing a lot more athleticism and competitiveness. These guys get after it, especially on defense . The offense will take longer to gel, specially with the flow concept coach is using (if I understood it correctly).

It looks to me as if we truly have turned the tied with this hire

I love the attack the basket style. We are getting a lot of free throws out of it, and as mentioned, hitting a lot of them

Still haven't seen Mensah on the court since the first half. Not sure if I just missed him out there or not, but looks like he got the hook

And so is the scoreboard. Looks like the first loss in the Vault for JMU.

Well from Dave Thomas's viewpoint (way up on the concourse) I think we can just say that we won the game because the officials lost this one for us 04-cheers

We looked better than the result.

NSU shot the lights out from 3 over the last 10 minutes.....way too many open looks.

This is discouraging to say the least. Need one of those MTV 5 point half court shots
