Quote:I can see how we should not expect miracles next year but your 20 years from now statement is pretty lame.
Well, maybe so. No one can predict the future. But think about the past 20 years. We have ONE (count it on either of your hands) win against a solid 1-A program, and that was against an ALABAMA team that ended up having one of it's worst seasons ever and lost their coach after that game. For the past 15-20 years, we as fans have been bombarded with the same hype every year only to watch the team lose every single game to a quality 1-A program. Hell, we haven't even beat Marshall yet, although we've only played them twice. Granted, most of these games have been on the road against much bigger schools, but look at USF's short history and see how many quality wins they have against 1-A schools.
Quote:Way to support the Knights, KnightTrain. How about optimism based on the fact that we did have talent last year...If you wipe out the countless personal fouls, false starts, off-sides, etc. as well as turnovers, this past season would have been different...
What kind of contradictory statement is this? That's like saying "that girl is beautiful if you take away her buck teeth, bald head, big nose, and if she lost 40 pounds." If we had talent, like you claim, should we have made those kind of mistakes? It wasn't the coaches out on the field.
But seriously, we had talent when Culpepper was here also and still lost all the big games. Don't get me wrong, I do support the Knights and do my best to remain optimistic. Maybe I've been around longer than some of you and have been burned by all the hype too much. But I do support the team in every way. Up until last year, I went to every home game I could through thick and thin. I no longer live in Orlando, so that is not feasable. However, I did travel to VA Tech last year to see them play, and PSU the year before that. And I'm going to PSU this year.
Quote:FYI, we have opened the upper deck to the Citrus Bowl.
When? I was at the Va Tech game in Orlando, which was UCF's biggest home game, and the upper deck was not open that night.
