One more conf game option?
With limited CUSA options, I wonder if we could find an OOC opponent for next week and count it as a conf game?

Did it in 2004. Every team would have to approve of the opponent, obviously. Again, the pickings are slim.

I’ve been told no. Those things are usually done before the season with everyone in agreement. It will be a conference game or nothing. They are making every effort to make it happen though.

Makes sense. Hard to say I’d be happy with a 5-3 season (are we assured a bowl?) and would suck to not be in a CCG if there is one, but at least 2020 will be in the rear view mirror...

...and we can start dealing with basketball COVID issues

RE: One more conf game option?
Back in 2000, UAB was asked to choose one OOC game to count as a proxy conference game so we had to choose between LSU and Kansas. We chose Kansas and lost the game. No one expected UAB to defeat LSU but we did.
