Can Navy win the Patriot?

Or Army. It didn’t make it onto the thread, I don’t think, but they beat Buffalo the other night. That was unexpected.

Army beat UB last year, too. UB is no longer the UB of 2014-2019 and won't be again until the current coach is gone.

That was a baffling hire. Jim Whitesell was not good at Loyola.

What’s weird is that Vegas still had Buffalo as a 10.5 pt. favorite. They’re just as uninformed as I am about Army’s improvement (which they are within Patriot under Allen I am now seeing) and Buffalo’s decline.

Vegas has Florida as 22.5 pt. favorite against Army today. Florida has yet to play, and the game is at Mohegan Sun.

Florida overtakes Army in the final three minutes. Army is 3-0 versus the spread.

UB was also missing Josh Mballa though. He's a key player for them.

Cincinnati ended up winning 67-55. First game for the Bearcats with a bunch of new guys.

We have a 100+ point route!

McNeese 140
Dallas Christian 37
Boy, it feels like such a short time ago McNeese was good to find on these threads bumbling on the non D1 games.

TAMU 73
Tarleton 66
Tarleton was up in this one mostly until the last 6-7 minutes

South Dakota State 71
Iowa State 68
SDSU was really never behind in this game and tended to have a steady lead for much of it until the end.

Not the best night for the Big East going 1-3. Xavier won their game handily, but St. John’s got topped by BYU, Provy by Bama, and Seton Hall by Rhode Island.

Wyoming needed OT to slip by Incarnate Word to avoid another laugher. And San Francisco thumped UNR!

ISU shot 70/81 for 87%

Both team used the very effective social distancing defense. I wonder what the average time of possession was. My bet is about 7 seconds.

If the Govs channel Fly Williams, this could be a brutal beatdown.

Ugghh. Not a fan of Austin Peay. My Illini put them on the map. You wouldn't be telling that joke today if we hadn't choked.

The guy who recruited Fly Williams to Austin Peay 50 years ago is an ACC head coach today.

Carver’s had four D1 games now, and 40 is the highest they’ve scored in any of them. Their first one. Who was probably the easiest, too?

Kent State took Virginia to overtime.

Was flipping through espn+ and saw a game involving...Crowley’s Ridge. Who is THAT? They’re in Arkansas too so not sure why you-know-who’s never brought them up. They had an iconic Native American logo.

Crowley’s Ridge is a NAIA school near Jonesboro. CRC's nickname is Pioneers so the logo is a pioneer wearing a coon skin cap, not a Native American logo.
