something that is a big sign for Memphis that isnt likely to be talked about

it isnt turnover city...last year we are likely 12 turnovers deep at this point for mempis

Yep. Get it down to an average turnover rate and this is a top 15-20 team minimum. All the freshmen guards look improved - Quinones looking good offensively but just hasnt had layups fall.

Cisse looking like a freshman but the talent is clearly there

UH defend REALLY well - like scary well. The shooting hasn't been there for them.

Shooting has been absolutely terrible for everyone not named sasser

But i can’t believe people doubted Sampson’s rebounding and defense because we lost Hinton and white
This has been a massacre on D and rebounding.. Lamar is taller than houston

Probably an unpopular opinion.. but if Deandre Williams gets eligible think there is a real chance Nolley ends year as a 2nd string player at Memphis. Not a believer in his game.

Agreed .. he's going to have to buy in .. or else he could be Memphis's Stevenson for this year (good when on but will lose games when off and potentially tear the locker room apart)

Too much hero ball for the majority of the second half. Typical college game when the better team gets a big lead, they often tie for the second half in scoring. Overall very happy. No Quinones for the most part. Anxious for DeAndre Williams and Ahmand Rand.

Good game Memphis ESPN was really talking well about you guys
One of the only complaints I have is they need to play better as a team instead of having all these prima donnas

There is good reason to believe the Tigers will improve once fully manned.

St Mary’s typically a good shooting team in the past, hit 1-18 from three.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Mills and Sasser both finished first team this year.

Very.

Houston-Memphis games will be epic this season. Both under-rated in pre-season.

Tramon, Sasser, and Mills. That’s a hell of a three headed monster come March.

RE: ***General AAC Basketball Game discussion***
this is going to sound homerish..and i accept that... but houston could lose any 3 guards and would likely still compete for the conference title

we already know about the top 4 guards-- but all our new guards look great

--tramon mark finsihes with 21pt and 8 rbs --and barely played 1st half

--shead has been completely dominant on defense, really good passer/driver--even though his shots werent falling

--cameron tyson was known to be an elite shooter, but played really bad D at idaho..his defense was drastically drastically improved, he isnt an elite defender but isnt the liability he was projected to be
