Nothing you can take from this game for ECU. Not taking anything away from Memphis you guys are getting way way way better, but ECU looks exactly like a team that's barely played or practiced for a month and is missing their coach.

UH beat a South Carolina team without their head coach or number 2. And also without Sasser and Mills (when he was still on the team).

Not exactly the same. SC is not a great team, UH hadn’t been on a long break, ECU has actually over preformed expectations before their break whereas UH was doing about how they should

I get it doesn’t look pretty but ECU can still be a good team

What do you want me to say? ECU ain't Houston. We were improved before all the stops for Covid but I thought this would probably go bad and it has. Memphis has made it go worse by making every 3 they look at. Memphis is very clearly clicking and a team you don't wanna face right now. Hopefully, ECU can get in better shape (because it's a massive issue in this game), get a few players back, and look like a real basketball team next game.

Okay. UH had an over two week break in the season as well. It’s going to happen to most teams this year.

You do remember that same Tulsa team we just beat by 17 beat us right after that break right? It’s not like glorious houston was immune to not practicing for 10 days.

yesterday i thought memphis had a path because i assumed they had 2 @smu games (2 q1 games).. now that its home and away, im not sure memphis has the schedule to make this up
they only have 4 q1 games (@wichita, @smu houston x2) and are 91 in the NET.. that's alot of ground to make up midseason

even winning out (extremely unlikely) theyd likely still be bad in the NET (in respect to making the tourney) , but would barely get in on the assumption for beating houston twice... and less than 2% chance they are winning out

Teams are different and respond to things differently.

Houston is Sampson's program now, they play the way Sampson wants and have for at least four years now. Its established, its ingrained. ECU is just now starting to be Dooley's they are just now figuring out how to win.

You are absolutely right to point out the comparison is bad and the pirate is right, not sure we can take much from this. ECU isn't overwhelming with its talent so missing people especially specific role players is a big deal. Give them another game or so and we will see if they can return to their improving form as they get back into their groove.

To say we're a one bid league. Right now, I would agree. We essentially have to win out or win the AAC tourney. So does anybody but Houston.

saying memphis is having a turn around, but that it might too late...and looking at where they are at now and what path they have

there are people literally trash talking other teams for no reason, but my post is the one you have an issue with???

Hopefully Houston just skips out on the conference tourney. Make sure it is a 2 bid league that way. Lol

Depends on which Memphis team shows up. Nobody ever knows.

You can start to see the potential. He has been useless most of the season. Starting to figure it out the last few games. He has awesome potential.

I think any future in the NBA is for defense and rebounds, but you feed him and he can dunk, too.
