We shouldn't look this bad against ucf
We won @fsu by 12 and beat Auburn by 8 at home. You were 1-3.
How many times have you stopped because of Covid? Did you play 1 OOC game? Do you have three players who would be playing major minutes now who haven't played a second yet?
That's what I thought.

Guessing this will drop UCF out of the Top 75, removing a Q1 opportunity for teams in the league.

We are an absolute joke. Apologies for the takes we were Top 4 in the league, I was dead wrong. Another rebuilding year hooray!
Hopefully with a 4* PG next year we will be watchable

We’ve had 3 games cancelled/postponed, lost a key player for the season (Tony Johnson), haven’t had Perry for about half the season, Reynolds and Adams have also missed time. And we played one of the hardest OOC schedules in the country and did well.

So SMU's 2 wins against Temple are looking better than they did previously and the loss against Cincinnati is looking even worse than it did before. What a strange season.

Did well? We beat FSU, which is not even that good of a win anymore, and lost the rest. We also lost to USF and Temple. We let all our expectations hinder on the FSU win, who isn't even ranked anymore. We are a middle of the pack team at best this year. It is what it is

We went 2-1 against 2 top 25 teams and another solid one. We look like garbage now but we did do well OOC. Relax a little.

I tell him this every week. He was pissed that my rankings because I didn't give UCF the second spot. He is pissed when you all struggle. It's a young team trying to get it together under tough conditions for that this year. Dawkins will get you all in a rythm then we'll know for sure just how good you are.
WSU looked much tougher early in the year, got some games and flow going g and look pretty good. Temple is slowly bringing it together after a couple false starts. It's going to be like this for everyone, the more returners you have the easier it will be to get that groove and play well. Lots of new players will make it harder.

Exactly, and we have had 1 full practice in 11 days before this game. Also missing key players and team still has to gel.

I criticized you then and now for over reacting both positive and negative. I was the ond who told you after the Michigan loss it could be a learning opportunity. I told you to be careful about putting too much on that FSU win. I continue to try and explain to you this is a process this team isn't a bunch of returners from a good team last year. Winning is hard and learning your role when you are new to help your team win is hard. Where you are now is not likely to be where you end up and personally I think it's a three or four bid league, so you being fourth/fifth might be good enough to get a bid. You also might end up the team no one wants to play in Ft. Worth. Between then and now you may look incredibly good and may have some head scratchers.

.
Aaron McKie deserves a lot of credit for the effort that he has gotten out of his young team (5 freshmen, 3 sophomores, 3 inactive/injured players, & 2 with restricted mpg after shoulder surgery) during a rebuilding year.
The Owls have been led by 3 guards (2 freshman recruits, 1 transfer) who are playing their first season with the team, and a trio of front court players (2 seniors, 1 junior transfer).
Few expect Temple to play in the 2021 NCAA or NIT, but the team has played better than many had expected vs. SMU and UCF, and appears to have upside potential as their young players gain more experience and when their injured players are able to rejoin the team, by next season, when they will be joined by a recruiting class that is currently ranked #3 in the conference.

And last week your strong opinion was that UCF was the number two team in the conference, after Michigan you thought you were number eight or nine.

Now you know how Temple fans have felt the last couple years after having successful OOC records, then not doing great in conference.
