Bengals QB Joe Barrow injury
I heard it was a MCL or worst. Not knowing fully the scope of the injury, I wonder if his injury is consider close to what Waseon Tait had suffered and was never the same athletically.

And why should a Burrows injury matter on a Rocket board, with the exception of the Tait mention ??

My first thought.

With modern medicine and training, I wonder if Tait's recovery would have changed or if it was a done deal? Burrow was ACL and MCL that's all I've seen. But I think they were simple tears. Not dislocations or anything like that. What was Tait's? You recall?

Evidently Mark is a huge Bengals fan. Tait was injured so many years ago that today Tait may have had a better outcome. And if I remember right Tait had and ACL and MCL injury.

yeah, i think it was just a different era with sports medicine. back when tait got hurt most guys who blew out a knee were never the same. and complicated knee injuries were usually career enders. tait had like 7 surgeries and his knee must be full of scar tissue. it was amazing he ever played again. most guys now come back 100% from acl and mcl injuries if they have proper surgeons and a good rehab work ethic. now, they may have some long term affects as even good recoveries still leave some scar tissue and damage behind, but they often can regain full use of the joint for their prime athletic years.

Not to discredit SP Mark’s allegiance to the Bengals, I whole heartedly agree with your assessment on Wasean Tait’s injury...

Tait also reportedly tore his patellar tendon and dislocated his kneecap, so a much worse injury. But yeah, that was 25 years ago, and doctors do much better jobs with those types of injuries today.

First of all not a Bengals fan, Browns I followed. Most of all I am a football fan. Why is it on this board, no now can make a comment without negativism to follow in this case ?

Lots of people, lots of opinions. Don't sweat it. Turned into an interesting discussion that wouldn't have happened if you hadn't started the thread.

I think the response would have been better if you had put the subject of the thread as Joe Burrow instead of Joe Barrow. No one seems to like Joe Barrow...
