Buffalo Game
Kent is coming into this game 7.5 point underdogs as of this moment. This should be a high scoring game with it being 50 degrees and cloudy. Game will be aired on CBSSN which I need to add to my Directv package to watch this game. I think the good guys win 48-41 with a nail biter finish.

RE: Buffalo Game
Will show us if we’re a contender or pretender. Schedule has been weak so far, but it’s so nice knowing we’re not the weak link and easy W in the conference anymore. Buffalo will have revenge on their minds for last years game they squandered. Go Flashes!

RE: Buffalo Game
Hopefully that revenge will make them over play and help limit their offense. It's going to be best RB vs best QB which makes for an interesting dual. But Kent does lead the MAC in total, passing, and rushing yards.

RE: Buffalo Game
I was looking at current NCAA stats- Kent is leading FBS in ppg at 52+ and 619 ypg. I think D Crum was 6th or7th in QBR right behind Kyle Trask and Justin Fields- I know different competition....but still proud to be a KSU alum with something to root for on a saturday!! been a looong time (except for 2012).

RE: Buffalo Game
It may be "different competition" but I think it's actually level competition for real rankings. While the Big Ten and SEC may have better defenses to play against they would also have better offensive weapons. All the stats are against, what should be close, equal competition with most games being conference only. There are no FCS games to pad stats.

Better find a way to stop their RB.

RE: Buffalo Game
Shouldn’t gone for it on 4th instead of kicking the FG as the defense shows we’ll have to win this one in a shootout.

That said, on the FG several players on their defense jumped, you gotta snap the ball and take that easy penalty and 1st down.

We look completely helpless every time Patterson gets it. I saw an article recently calling him a draft sleeper. How is anyone sleeping on this guy?

RE: Buffalo Game
Anyone else tired of hearing this announcer say Crum looks slow and unathletic but miraculously still gets yards?

I am tired of any announcer saying anything. They are trained to talk about every detail of every play and it just gets old. You just can’t do that and say anything very interesting.

RE: Buffalo Game
This announcer going on and on about a bad timeout by Lewis is beyond stupid. It was clear live he was short. They would've stopped play to review either way.

Or when he says there’s no defensive PI and they cue the replay to start right after the initial contact. On,y call they got right was the fumble that wasn’t.

RE: Buffalo Game
Our defense is really bad. The end of the half was really costly. Had a chance to go in down 8 or 4 getting the ball to start the second half. Don't like the call to throw on 4th and 1. We're going to need a monster second half from Crum and something somewhat resembling defense to win this one.

Well we do have a history of coming back in this game.

Is it 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter yet?!

I agree with the announcer, but he beat it to death. The player was obviously short and KSU knew it, you line up and run the QB sneak quickly. After 2 timeouts and throwing on 4th and 1 was bad, gotta go with the RPO or Crumble keeper.

RE: Buffalo Game
On our own 34 yard line early in the 3rd quarter and the idiot announcer keeps saying we should go for it. While we’re going to have to get some stops on D to win in a shootout, failing there and Buffalo scoring puts this game out of reach instantly.

The announcer also claimed that face mask was obvious and the coaches shouldn’t be arguing it, but on replay it looked like the arm was around the head but hand not actually on the mask itself.

RE: Buffalo Game
Probably should've gone for it though. I like our chances of getting 1 yard better than the chances our defense keeps them from getting 80.
