RE: Buffalo Game
Not going for it on 4th was a huge mistake. Same result as if we would've gone for it and failed but now there's way less time on the clock. When you're incapable of getting stops you gotta go for every 4th an short because the odds of getting it are better than the odds of getting a stop. Really frustrated about this sequence of events.

RE: Buffalo Game
Crum doesn’t make many poor decisions but that INT hurts and may be the final nail in the coffin.

RE: Buffalo Game
Time to get frustrated with Christmas lights. Buffalo’s Offensive Line should at least buy the Kent State defense dinner.

I know it’s turned into a blowout, but these announcers turning into cheerleaders has gotten beyond annoying.

RE: Buffalo Game
We got beaten by a much better team today. I like the direction of out program, and the offense is exciting. But we were 3-0 against teams that combined for 0-9 through three weeks. We aren't on Buffalo's level this year.

Here's to hoping Patterson enters the draft.

RE: Buffalo Game
So to go to the MAC championship game now we'd need to win out and have UB lose their last two, that includes a game against Akron. I would say "stranger things have happened" but honestly, I don't think they have.

Defense has a lot of things they need to work on. I know college and defense don't go together anymore but a stop or two and this could've been a different game.

The FG we could’ve had a 1st down on and the 1st down/4th and 1 we failed to convert could’ve been huge to keep it close.

RE: Buffalo Game
missed FG and not going for it on 4th down a couple of times lead to the score getting away from us.

We had to score TD's in this game .

RE: Buffalo Game
Here's what worries me about a 1-loss record. It is likely they will cancel football soon and name the championship to the overall record. I heard 21 games were canceled today in college football.
The other thing that sucks is it will likely cancel before the last game of the season when Buffalo plays Akron and Patterson would be able to break the record he put up against us.
On a good note, I see Lewis being on our sideline another year (maybe).

The one loss being a concern is kind of a moot point in my eyes. This game was the MAC East championship game and we lost it. Even if the season goes the full distance there isn't much of a realistic path to the title for us now. The best hope would be we win out, UB loses to OU next week (which I don't see happening), and their game against Akron gets cancelled. So we end 5-1 and UB ends 4-1. It would be pretty hard to feel good about winning that way though since they ran (pun intended) us off the field today.

As for Patterson breaking the record against Akron that's highly unlikely in my opinion. No way Akron keeps that game close enough for him to get the chance. Especially if UB wins next week, they would have the MAC East title clinched going into week 6 (if there is a week 6)

RE: Buffalo Game
The NFL just told all teams to shut their facilities on Monday and Tuesday
(Unless you are one of the four teams playing those days). Also San Francisco just banned contact sports so the 49ers need to find a place to play the next two weeks. Denver will be playing a RB at QB Sunday and the Ravens now have 18 players on the COVID list (wonder what strip club they went to??). Things don’t look very good. The NBA starts up in early December. It will be interesting how they do when they are no longer in the Orlando bubble.

Good point; when you’re battling blow for blow a RB can stay in and score all day, especially when just up by a score or two and you run to keep the clock running. But when you play a team as poor as them they’ll be up 35-0 before you know it and they’ll have the 1st team on the sidelines.

Haha I read the Broncos may actually be bringing up a practice squad WR to play QB. Too bad Edelman doesn't play there. Seeing him get to play one game at QB in the NFL would complete me.
