That defense was an embarrassment. I said it 2-3 wks ago, this team and it's record was a facade. I doubt we will beat OU or MU.

RE: Buffalo Game
Yesterday, Burden said, "I am tired of any announcer saying anything. They are trained to talk about every detail of every play and it just gets old. You just can’t do that and say anything very interesting." I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way. I've gotten to the point that I can't stand audio on ANY televised sporting event. They actually yak more than RADIO announcers once did. It's so aggravating.

This game showed that KSU's defense has a long way to go. But, overall Coach Lewis has done an outstanding job building the football program back up. It seems like in college football all over the offenses are ahead of the defenses, and have been for a few years or more. Lots of scores are looking more like basketball scores than football.

Patterson would be wise to explore entering the NFL draft.

Buffalo fan dropping in...

You guys had me nervous all season long and all game long right up until the middle of the 4th quarter. There is no doubt Coach Lewis has done an amazing job in Kent as you guys have went from door mat to the Cinderella bowl story of 2019, to a team that can rightly beat anyone in the MAC if they dare go to sleep for 8 minutes.

Go out, win your last two, and lets both go win a bowl again this year.

--p.s.

Regarding the defense... Our line and Marks/Patterson make most defenses look silly.

Thanks for stopping by! Lot is respect for the Buffalo program.

This was the one game of the 2020 season, I didn't have a good feeling about going into.

I think Coach Lewis has done an excellent job of improving the program, highly questionable if Kent State is willing to provide the resources for next step. Financial concerns with lack of revenue virus related don't think will see any up grades to facilities .This past week there was the previously mention article about Coach Lewis which he discussed how quarterback meetings are held in the President's suite and the ticket office is used for wide receiver meetings. Than yesterday watched pre game viewing of Buffalo's new football facility if I was a recruit not a difficult choice.
If I understand the athletic budget correctly football (money games) is the cash cow that feeds the other sports. So not only do we the lowest paid football coach in the MAC our facilities most likely sorely lacking in comparison.

Yea, Danny white set in motion a ton of improvements including the Murchie field house and the football office building. If the university ever build a student rec center the department would get 100% control of alumni arena (and the attached facilities) and it would be huge.

But that fieldhouse was in fundraising mode for a decade, the office building was almost all one family donating.

Once Joey is fired that will free up 200k while not a lot it should help bringing back a few positions in Athletics. Personally, I hope they bring back people who can raise money before more money to coaches. Then they can go out and raise funds for various sports.

Joel sold his house so the clock is ticking.
