Great start to the basketball season for the SBC.

Great win for State and the SBC.

Happy for the win. I wanted to see the match up between Joe Jones versus Tech's all conference center in the ACC, but too bad Jones was injured. Thomas looked good though in the paint. Our guards also look good. They can shoot from deep or cut it inside. Bench is deep making plays during OT, our bench might be even deeper than Tech. Overall, a very good night.

if stingtalk posters mean GSU was worse than what we could've been, sure I guess they have a point. We did play them without 2 starters due to surgery and injuries

When I watched the game, I was impressed with our movements and that's credit to good coaching. 4 players without the ball are actively moving with different looks to create lanes and set up screens. When the mismatch in gap appears, the guards have the quickness and ball handling to exploit the holes to the basket. The team looked confident running it's offense methodically to the basket rather than Hunter's era of raining 3s. Georgia Tech actually looked like the team relying on individual talents dribbling wild to create something out of nothing.

I stayed up and watched the whole thing except for the first 8 minutes. What a great game, and great win! FOUR overtimes and just as easily could have been 5, but I guess the refs got tired and stopped actively working against the panthers.
