Conner Adair—BOH
Got word yesterday he intends to transfer and has decided to opt out the rest of the season. I do not have any reasons why he has made these decisions. With Peter Parrish drama swarming, there is some uncertainty for next year at the most important position. We shall see what happens.

It honestly doesn't surprise me. We had our once-a-season blowout on Saturday and he only got to play two possessions.

He isn't a good QB.

He was never going to start here.

Some FCS program might get lucky though.

There was a tremendous drop off from Brady to Connor... and it was quite evident in the brief number of times we’ve had the luxury of getting Connor some snaps.

I do not blame someone like Adair for transferring. He is good enough to play somewhere it just wont be at Memphis, especially with Parrish transferring in.

He showed a lot of potential. I would have been very happy to see him as the starter next year. We could have given him meaningful reps the entire 4th quarter against Cincinnati and SFA. I'm very disappointed.

He got screwed the last two years. I understand that you can't play backups a lot, but you at least have to keep them engaged and give them a chance to play in blowouts.

Parrish hasn't taken a snap yet. We have at least had the chance to see Adair in game situations. I think Adair could have done the job.

I predict Jeremiah Oatsvall starts. I've seen him play. He's legit.

No, but the staff did not bring him to sit just like Brady White was not brought in to sit nor was Riley Ferguson.

My view as well. He might have had a hard time in the upcoming QB battle.

RE: Conner Adair—BOH
Fuente had backup QBs transfer out.
Norvell did.
Glad to see it's a tradition Silverfield is keeping.

As stated before, we should do better about getting reps for these guys. But, is what it is. He wants out, open the door for him. We have Parrish coming, a hotshot HSer out of Texas, and the slim possibility of Brady returning. If Brady is gone, I bet he is, then I wouldn't be surprised if we pickup a grad transfer for a year. If that doesn't happen, then it's a good sign that Parrish is doing well in practice.

On a related note, I've always thought Brady White deserved the starts that he got. I've never been one to say "what if David Moore had stayed". And I think the stats show, White is better than his transferring backups. But I did see where Brady McBride had a big day Saturday at Texas State.
