Aresco was on ECU radio today and ruled out the LB for an AAC team, not a shocker.

IMO, we aren't finishing high enough to go there. It will be Tulsa or SMU or whoever. My guess is we wind up either in Montgomery, or one of the minor Florida Bowls.

Also, the new stadium is scheduled to open in B'Ham for this bowl next year.

Legion Field would be a good thing this season as even at 25% capacity it holds like 17,500-ish

so 8500 for each team plus 500 media/players family/band/etc

ESPN is predicting Liberty Bowl match-up of West Virginia vs. either 3-6 Kentucky or 2-5 Tennessee in the article attached to the first post in this thread.

The LB has been trying to get Tennessee for years now, but they were either too good, too bad, or were sent to Nashville for the Music City Bowl. Tennessee plays Florida & Texas A&M to finish the season - likely 2 more losses. No way do I want a 2-7 Tennessee in the LB this year. Kentucky plays South Carolina in Lexington. A win puts them at 4-6.

If the LB won't (or can't) take Memphis, then at least give us Ole Miss if we're forced to take an SEC team this year.

I hope it is Tennessee. If so, the Liberty Bowl will have the distinction of being the last game coached by two legends, Bear Bryant & Phil Fulmer. 05-stirthepot

The LB and Ehrhart just love to get kicked around by the $EC.
They absolutely deserve a laughing stock 3-7 Vols team.
And I hope they are contractually bound to the payout to the $EC and that they lose a lot of money.
