Unfortunately, that was our regular QB. Definitely the worse offensive game as a whole, and the worst performance of the year on his part. I think it's the first time the talent disparity got to him, he was rattled the entire time. He threw 72% in our other ACC games and then does 40% with 3 INTs here. It was a sad game to watch.

After I posted my comment I looked up his stats from previous games. Yeah, the NC State game was definitely sub-par. He seemed nervous, had happy feet, overthrew open receivers and never settled into the game. You would think with this being the 3rd game vs. a P5 this year, and the 9th game of the season, he would have been comfortable. Maybe the bigger picture got to him, IDK. Maybe he got to thinking, gee, we beat NC State and the sky's the limit for us, and he put too much pressure on himself. I don't know him, much about him, so I can't comment on any validity of his being nervous. But...he definitely looked it.

Yea, it's hard to say. But, this is the first time our OL has been dominated and unable to run the ball (which allowed them to drop more back in coverage to take away the pass), and then he found that he couldn't out-athlete the LB that was spying him when he scrambled. I think this pressure created the death spiral for him mentally. He played in garbage time for two years at Auburn, so this is the first game he has lost as a college starter and the first time he's experienced being overwhelmed by another team defensively. Not sure why VA Tech couldn't do the same thing, but whatever NCSU did, it worked.

Whelp the Liburtee love fest is over. Lets go back to talking about CUSA. 02-13-banana

CUSA might suck, but someone obviously thinks us and FAU are pretty good...AP poll #17 and #32 respectively.

Exactly, just because the rest of the conference sucks doesn’t mean you’re going to rain on my parade. FAU still has a chance to end the year in the top 25 but we have to win out and get a decent bowl opponent and win.

I'm hoping FAU finishes in the Top 25, that will be awesome if both make it. Good luck

We have to root for each other at this point, two in the top 25 is what this conference really needs right now. Good luck as well.
