U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew Brann (a Republican) in Williamsport, Penn., rejected a request by the Trump campaign for an injunction that would stop the certification of the election as the campaign seeks to overturn that state's results. PA will be certified Monday.

For those keeping track, that's 30 losses by the Trump legal team and two (minor) victories. Any more winning and the Trump team might have a chance to take on the 1962 Mets.

Here's part of the judge's ruling.

"Plaintiffs ask this Court to disenfranchise almost seven million voters. This Court has been unable to find any case in which a plaintiff has sought such a drastic remedy in the contest of an election, in terms of the sheer volume of votes asked to be invalidated, “One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption, such that this Court would have no option but to regrettably grant the proposed injunctive relief despite the impact it would have on such a large group of citizens. That has not happened," "Instead, this Court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations, unpled in the operative complaint and unsupported by evidence."

I always thought the remedy requested made no sense. What made better sense to me as a remedy would be a reverification of signature match given the number of mail in ballots were so relevant in the outcome and prone to fraud.

Just stopping things isn't going to happen.

Chris Christie this morning on ABC.

"Quite frankly, the conduct of the President's legal team has been a national embarrassment. They allege fraud outside the courtroom, but when they go inside the courtroom, they don't plead fraud and they don't argue fraud.” He called out Trump attorney Sidney Powell by name when mentioning this opinion.

"I have been a supporter of the president's. I voted for him twice. But elections have consequences & we cannot continue to act as if something happened here that didn't happen." He says an unwillingness to present evidence "must mean the evidence doesn't exist."

RE: Republican judge hands Trump legal team another resounding loss
Yeah, guys like Christie in the GOP are not rare. We call them RINOS. They claim to be Republicans but act like dems. When the going gets tough, they can be counted on to abandon what they claim to believe in and cave. There are tons of spineless weasels that never when it counted have supported Trump. Some of them owe their re-election down ballot to Trump, yet they either remain quiet or do what Christie does, all for their own selfish reasons.

You can cheer for Christie. Not me. He's a loser and his actions here are just more of the 'if I go against my party, maybe the media will like me more' and I might get invited to the cool cocktail parties. Others are just strategizing for how to get leadership positions in a minority party, which they are fine with. Fighting for the truth is not in their DNA.

The Trump legal team hasn’t even filed 30 cases... where do y’all get your information from?!? This is getting ridiculous that some posters here spew the same nonsense that the mainstream media does. At some point, you need to do your own research.

I'll do it for David. BTW, you can find these things out for yourself by simply googling them. This happened on Thursday.

A federal judge appointed by President Donald Trump rejected what he called a “creative” lawsuit on Thursday. It was a suit that Georgia’s assistant attorney general warned would cause the Peach State’s largest disenfranchisement since the Jim Crow era.

“To halt the certification at literally the 11th hour would breed confusion and disenfranchisement that I find have no basis in fact and law,” U.S. District Judge Steven Grimberg declared at the end of a roughly two-and-a-half hour hearing.

https://lawandcrime.com/2020-election/tr...n-georgia/

I've also found federal judges appointed by both Reagan and Bush (I think both of them actually) who also rejected various lawsuits.

RE: Republican judge hands Trump legal team another resounding loss
FortBendOwl left out a few things that matter.

Quote:While Wood sued in his capacity as an average Georgia voter, the judge made clear that this did not give the lawyer a basis to sue.

“There is no doubt that the right to vote, even an individual’s right to vote is sacrosanct,” Judge Grimberg added, adding that this “doesn’t mean that individual voters have the right to dictate” the manner in which that vote is counted.

On the surface of his lawsuit, Wood claims that Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger harmed him as a voter by agreeing to a March settlement agreement on signature matching in ballots. The lawyer waited eight months and three election cycles to challenge it on Nov. 13, when it became clear that President-elect Joe Biden had won.

So, it wasn't filed by the campaign. Another falsity pushed by Biden-ites.

Quote:When Wood’s attorney Ray Stallings Smith III said he was retained by Trump’s campaign, Judge Grimberg called it significant that the campaign is not a party to the case.

Grimberg called Trump’s lack of an appearance in the case one of the reasons he found a lack of standing.

Quit lying.

No one is lying (except yourself). David never said the lawsuits were filed by Trump - they were just rejected by a Trump appointed judge.

It's not that hard to see - it's literally only 2 posts above!!

This is what David said -- "Several cases came up to Trump's appointed judges that also ruled against Trump."

How in the world can you possibly try to spin this one? Doesn't matter whether it was a Trump lawsuit or not - the ruling was a setback to Trump's case or side. I'm sure I can find another one, but you and others will lie about that too. It's endless and exhausting how far from reality all of you are.

ANother lie. What David posted is in the quote. "Ruled against Trump" is a lie.

So try again. Find ONE case that Trump has lost except for the one yesterday by the Obama judge.

Again you guys are so far removed from reality - you won't accept the truth.

I said you were 2-34 and you immediately said I was lying (or resorting to repeating untruths from the media). Shere Khan acted like a 5 year old but that's typical of him/her and took 9 rep points away from me for my posts. Someone pointed out a Trump associate who said they had only filed 3 lawsuits.

Here's a link from 4 days ago which details 7 lawsuits in PA, 2 in AZ, 3 in MI and 1 in GA. Since then, there have been other suits. And as the article notes, there are other lawsuits which were later withdrawn. You are choosing to ignore those suits but they cost money and time to file to begin with. I thought there was at least 1 suit in WI too but this article doesn't mention anything.

https://time.com/5908505/trump-lawsuits-biden-wins/

Before I waste any more time, if I can prove that one of the suits mentioned in the Time article was rejected by a Trump-appointed judge, would you admit you're wrong? Or will you again try to say no it wasn't an official lawsuit?

I thinks its striking that these people do not seem to understand that the fraud suit is a different suit. It hasnt even been filed yet. Im not a lawyer and even I understand that. The Trump legal team has stated it on multiple occasions. Every suit up to this point has been based on violations of procedure or law (ie, laws or procedures were changed by edict without the permission of the State Legislature). 04-cheers

There is a reason the campaign is correct when it says they only have 3 lawsuits. Its because the campaign only has 3 law suits.

Can't you read? The Trump legal team says clearly that they currently have 3 legal cases underway, with one they dismissed in MI.

Many of these lawsuits you note were filed by others not affiliated with the Trump legal team. A number were rejected due to lack of standing.

But keep it up. Keep trying to convince us (much like our own Pravda media) that all is lost and to just give up. Not going to happen.

Oh, and there's this.

Republican judge hands Trump legal team another resounding loss
Good grief.

ANYONE can file a damn lawsuit, for almost any damn thing.
Saying I’m filing this because I can prove Trump won the left-handed, blind gypsy vote and they’ve been harmed here, doesn’t mean I’m now part of Trumps legal team.

And the fact that a Trump judge can look at that case and say, “not buying it” doesn’t mean Trump lost a legal battle.

May mean the left-handed blind gypsy lost a case, but not Trump.

Poor Gypsies...

Trump is going to lose in the end. There was almost certainly voter fraud, there is in every election. Was there enough to change the outcome? I'd say probably 50-50. Can it be proved in a court of law? After the fact, almost certainly not.

But Trump's going to lose. Get over it

Right now republicans need to focus on winning 1 or both Georgia runoffs. The senate is the last firewall. And Milquetoast Mitch better find a way to keep his troops in line. If republicans keep a majority, it better be party line votes right and left. If they lose both races, then everything better be 50-50 with Harris breaking the tie.

I know, we are already hearing calls for unity and cooperation. Where have they been the last four years? More importantly, if someone is is trying to do things that I believe are contrary to my beliefs and best interests, why should I help them?

Well, "ruled against Trump," would imply pretty strongly that Trump was a party to the lawsuits.

Trump is going to lose ultimately. What he needs to prove is just too hard to prove after the fact. Republicans need to focus on doing everything they can to hang on to the senate, and then making sure they hold ranks there.

Thats kinda where Im at. Proving fraud is incredibly time consuming--and time is short. That said, I dont think its unreasonable to ask that the mail in ballot stashes in these key states undergo a more rigorous vetting to insure they are actual real legal votes. The fact there is so much resistance to a very common sense action is what I find so very concerning. 04-cheers
