We are gonna need a larger table!

There are only two tables in the Sun Belt. The table of teams who want to fire their coach and the table of teams scared someone is going to hire their coach away.

Its like the Kids table and the Adults table at Thanksgiving, with Georgia Southern representing the crazy Uncle who liked to sit at both tables

We could use the practices if we made a bowl, just to develop players for next year...

Don't think Southern, State, or App fans want a new HC yet. Just concerns on one side of the ball.

Cajun fans want a new QB and if you're ULM you're probably disappointed but not all that surprised.

The only genuine hot seats are at South and Ark State.

Which State you talking about? Cause we are absolutely ready for a new coach.

He's talking about Georgia State, but Elliot's seat has got to be getting a little warm with how their season has gone...

RE: Fire Steve Campbell
I really thought South hiring Steve Campbell was a good move at the time. Lots of experience, good job at UCA, good PR guy . . . but it obviously hasn't worked out. Is it a coaching thing? a talent thing?

South Al should be a ticking time bomb. Now with great facilities and a hot bed for recruiting. No reason why they should not be better.

Sadly, the Jags are likely to win in Jonesboro this year. stAte has its own mess. As much as I have wanted Anderson to have continued success, it looks like the end of the line. 7 years is a long time to keep things going. Hopefully Anderson will get a good jumping off opportunity (Southern Miss) and stAte can rebuild and move forward.

South may have brought a hardship on themselves. Spending a lot of money on the new stadium plus the practice facility and signing Campbell for 4 years. Now with another year left on his contract, it seems hard for most fans to see how they can afford to keep him on for that 4th year, while buying him out that final year and paying a new coach/staff to come in would be quite expensive. South is in a very tight situation.

Maybe you can do like we did. When he’s coming into the final year of his contract, and more than half of the fan base is ready to be rid of him, you give him a 3 year extension.

It's time for Campbell and his entire staff to go. I realize that South isn't going to fire him, we'll just have one more terrible season and maybe lose the entire fan base in the process. It'll be a hoot, when the cameras pan over the empty stadium and the announcers wonder if there are still attendance restrictions in place. The answer will be sadly, no there are no attendance restrictions, there just aren't any people left that are willing to pay to sit through 3 hours of terrible football.

ESPN just had an alert that we are “expected” to fire him. I’d guess we’ll hear something official within 1.5-2 hours.

When South came to GS several years ago as a double-digit favorite and lost 52-0 I knew Joey Jones had mailed it in and was done.

The South-Troy game kinda had the same feeling TBH, though South stopped the bleeding in the second half.

I made both points on the USA board. I even called the Troy game “CSC’s 2017 Georgia Southern.”

Lots of “consultants” in Tuscaloosa we can go after. I want a splash with this hire, it will be our 3rd coach, we need there to be noise around this hire that will also ring bells for the SBC.
