After an excellent 3 & out ...bad decision by Trammell to try to field the bouncing punt with defenders all around him. He bobbles it and the ball is knocked free. UNT recovers. GRRRR!!!!

10-0, everything working well. And then we revert to that BS football that we've played in the past, and the game gets turned on its head. Go for the kill! Two drives up 10-0 with a chance to go up 17-0, and instead we might be tied or down at the half.

Rice doing a great job of keeping UNT in this game.

Momentum has totally turned after the failed 4th down.

Dumb football leads to blown leads. Certainly not seeing the “intellectual” in the 2nd quarter. “Brutality” has been more like just plain brutal.

We needed to keep UNT’s offense off the field but fumbles and a return to conservative play calls keeps putting the UNT offense on the field.

UNT cashes in on our gift with a nifty 3rd-down TD pass completion over the middle to a wide-open Darden, who cut back, faking out our DB and diving into the end zone.

14-10, UNT ... 1:09 left in the half.

No clock management. Really losing any faith in Bloomgren this season. He’s recruited well but seems to make poor gameday decisions.

Halftime. No need to say anything about that last series.

UNT leads, 14-10.

We need to get our mojo back in 2H.

Yeah, our pass protection is weak. And NO WAY we should be expecting our center to take on that NG of theirs, one-on-one.

My sense is that Trammell's been told how wonderful he is for so long, he's gotten over-confident.

More of the same. Bloomgren is good at prep. He’s been terrible at in game adjustments. He gets aggressive up 10-0 by going for it but will go conservative in an overtime. We can dominate first quarters but it’s after that where we find out what the game is really going to be like. It’s crazy. This looked like a 30-6 Rice type game now we may get blown out if adjustments aren’t made. #97 is looking all-pro out there but we’re on pace to have the lowest rushing total of any team vs NT this season. For some reason other teams didn’t have as much trouble with him.

True, in that we never can stand success. Like most of you, when up 10-0 I knew we would give it up somehow...

Given the historical record the Second Half will be yet another Train Wreck.

At least train wrecks have action. I think a flat tire on the freeway at rush hour is more like it.
