Great camera work on that UNT 3rd down incompletion.

Another UNT 3 & out!!

Punt doesn't bounce much. Owls take over at Rice 39.

It feels...generous...to let this UNT defense off this easy by sticking to our run heavy offense. They've given up 30+ every game so far, and 40+ three times.

I like this Collins to Trammell thing!

And don’t like that 3rd down play call.

I like the paucity of penalties. I can live with fumbles, since they come from effort.

Wow!! Going for it on 4th & 2 at the 19. Passing! Knuckle ball is behind the receiver in the end zone. Grr.

Love the aggressiveness to go for it on 4th down even if it didn't work. Don't quite get only having two guys running routes. If you're gonna throw it on 4th, open up the field with 4 or 5 WRs (or throw it out of a heavy formation).

Well that decision to go for it on 4th down certainly blew up in Bloomgren’s face.

Rice's coaching staff is allowing an inferior team to stay close - just as in the first game.

Wow!! 66-yard-TD run for UNT's QB Bean. Stacked receivers on the left ... run option ... QB keeps running right ... and lead blocker takes out the only two Owls with a chance to tackle him near the line.

10-7, Rice ... 6:56 left in 2Q.

We sure gave a lot of grief to Bailiff for not gambling in those situations, but I sure would like to have the 3 points right now.

Even if we've shown an ability to run the ball decently, the staff has to realize that we look like a better offense when the run is secondary to the pass. Bloomgren likes to use the run to set up the pass, but it seems like we're much more effective when we're using the pass to set up the run.

I guess Collins being only 8 of 10 means the Owls will abandon the passing game?

Bloom goes back to his terrible run every down offense once we get a 10 point lead. This is how you lose games.

Three tough runs come up short. Since the Mean Green defense seems to have figured out our run scheme, I'm surprised we didn't use a play-action short pass on 3rd-down.

Good punt dies at the UNT 9.

10-7, Owls ... 4:23 left in the half.

Play callers just can't get out of their own way. Everything is just too predictable. We don't have the offensive line to run this offense.
