Not a bad game and Wight‘s, Milkereit‘s, and Scott’s contributions are still gifts yet to unwrap. Felt like we got a good idea of what to expect from the others.

Every player that can contribute will be important when we start getting into back to back league play and if/when injuries/covid pop up.

We are all excited by the potential in our youth movement, but let's not forget how much of a stone cold killer Scott was when healthy early last season.

Feels great to have a discussion page having nothing to do with Covid, W&M teams being dropped or not, Samantha Huge, etc.

Just Tribe Basketball.

But Dane is a defense guru and Shaver ignored defense. :)

Lowe under Dane versus Shaver was a completely different D player

Loewe must be the difference. I guess we'll see how the season goes. Defense is usually ahead of offense, especially with young players.

Shaver certainly didn't coach 'em up on the defensive side. Under Dane, middle of the conference last season with a 7-footer and an NBA player in the middle and allowed ODU to score more points than they have in 3 yrs in game one this season. Hope Loewe saves us. I'm looking forward to seeing vast improvement.

It depends on: a). which Scott we're talking about, the healthy one from early last year, or the hurt one or the one trying to play bak into shape; and b). would his minutes rest Kochera or Covington and make them more effective.

Scott is always hurt. I'd love for him to come in and be a superstar, but so far he's been a streaky and erratic player. If we can build on him for the next two years, great.

Scott did not look anywhere close to healthy on Saturday when he was limping around during the TO on TV. This is his 3rd year of related leg issues. Think it is time to move on as he is not durable.

Obviously, this why some players opted out. Enclosed area & breathing all over each other...just takes one player or coach to be positive.

Pro sports have the luxury of testing everyone as often as they please.

It did feel good, even after a loss...if only for a few days.
