Sure, shut everything down again. We now have skyrocketed all the way to a fraction of 1% mortality rate and they have yet to put a patient in the pop up hospital at the old CA building. Wonder if the SCSD will show up at my house on Thanksgiving because we have 20-25 folks there
Or 626 deaths out of 44,474 cases = 1.4%. So if everyone in Shelby county were to get it that would be over 13,000 deaths.
Legit question... not being a smart a$*, I genuinely don't know but I'm curious.
How many of the 626 deaths had co-morbidity and patients were also over 70? If I was a gambler, I place over 550 were people over 70 with other major health issues.
I had a client that "died of covid 19". He was in his 70's and had stage 4 COPD.
If 75 of the cases were people under 70 and no co-morbidity that would put mortality rate in this group at a whopping...
.00167
We will have a vaccine. It's looming.
Why not just tell people over 70 with heath risks to hunker down and be super precautious until the vaccine is available (hint.... they are already doing this anyway)
A shutdown would not be supported by science. The cure cannot be worse than the virus. Even CDC and WHO are agreeing that shutdowns are harmful, not recommended, and have significant consequences in many other areas like suicide, substance abuse, depression, domestic violence increases, increases in all areas of crime like burglary, murder etc..
