WVU fans aren't thrilled and are losing confidence in him. He went 5-7 his first season, and will likely finish either 6-4 or 5-5 this season. For some reason they think Brown should be winning Big 12 titles only two years into cleaning up Dana Holgorsen's mess.
Coach Neal back at TROY, bro, I could die and go to heaven!!
I told my neighbor, a WVU grad, that Coach Neal was not the kind of coach who’s gonna make them a national power. Coaching and Winning on the Power 5 level is totally diff there. The level of players talent can beat coaching Talent. He’s coaching against continued NFL talent. NOW!...He will make WVU an annual 7-8 win team, but not consistently fighting for Conf champion or anything like that.
I believed coach Neal should’ve went to UConn. Building that program, winning 7-8 games there would've made him a god there; making more $$$ in the end.
Why would he have gone to UConn??? That makes no sense.
I think he the type of coach who can turn a program around. That’s what I was saying that, if he went there, won 7 games per year consistently, he would be a liv’n god to them. And with that, making more money in the end with contract negotiations/extensions
That’s what Oliver Purnell did as a NCAA men’s basketball coach. He earned his living by coming in and turning programs around. In the end, he made more money with contract negotiations/extensions

His teams always had offenses that were pretty good, but never great. I think he needs a great offense to win consistently in the BIG12. He certainly has the defense, even without Vic.
Neal learned from his mistakes as an OC when he became a head coach. He wasn’t all about big offensive numbers he was more concerned with wins. Chip is an OC that was hired to be a head coach. His offensive game plan gives no thought to what his defense is doing.

I totally agree. Chippy is out of his debt as HC

UCONN, whilst located in cold New England, has an $80.9MM athletic budget. If they truly invested in football, they could make some noise.
