And Duke didn't have anyone drafted in the first round.

1991? No Duke 1st Rounders. First UNC player - Rick Fox (24). Zero Kentucky players drafted.

And in that season, Duke and UNC went to the Final Four with Duke winning the National Championship.

2008, the first player taken from either Duke, UK or UNC was at #58 overall. If you add Kansas into the mix you would go back to 2000 as the last time none of them had a lottery pick

Although we didn't have a tournament this past season so we don't really know how it would have played out.

It would have been nice to see what might have happened in the NCAA Tournament. Here was the picks by conference in the first round:

2020 NBA DRAFT First Round
SEC -6
Pac-12 – 6
ACC – 3
Big 12 – 3
AAC – 2
Big 10 – 1
Big East – 1
A10 – 1
MWC – 1

Overall, the MWC was tied for 4th with the Big 10 and Big 12 for most picks in the two-round draft at four. The SEC had 12 total picks, the Pac-12 had 10 and the ACC had 8. UCLA and Gonzaga had no players selected in the draft and the WCC had zero players selected in the 2020 NBA draft.

Interesting stats. Seems we could discard all leagues but the SEC and Pac-12. The rest were "also rans."

The Pac-12 is not short on talent, and even better when you consider only 12 schools. But as my son puts it, they have a lot of great one and done players, but bad teams not fun to watch due to a lack of quality depth players (4 year guys). B1G and ACC are much better at getting those type of guys.

No lottery picks by UNC, Duke, UCLA, Kansas, or Kentucky since 91. You could even toss in Indiana for good measure.
