M00N was a Brady Hoke-coached Michigan/Northwestern 0-0 halftime that featured non-contact turnovers and the game ending with a QB falling on his ass untouched.

Their 3rd stringer is in, and keeps converting impossible 4th downs.

The 3rd stringer just completed a 38 yard hail mary to send game to OT.

Tulsa has 10 lives.

This is the most active hurricane season in recorded history in the Atlantic.
Tulsa is the Golden Hurricane.
Miami are the Hurricanes.
Combined they're 10-2.
And Tulsa's got this.
Coincidence?

And ..... Tulsa scores on a Pick-6 in the second OT (yep) to win, 30-24.

Their first lead of the game.

Congratulations to Tulane for now playing 10 games. In this environment, that took some luck, but also some real team discipline to achieve.

I watched the entire fourth quarter and OT. Tremendous. Very exciting. Two quality football teams (though they might not have looked so in the scoreless first half, which I did not see).

Tulsa made big plays when it needed to.

Congrats to both teams for repping the American nicely.

I am not a Tulane fan, but live near New Orleans so am partial to them. Tulane is 5-5 but arguably should be 8-2. The two games they blew vs Navy and now Tulsa are pretty mind-boggling. In both games they had a greater than 99% chance to win in the second half. Heck, Tulane had a 99.1% chance to win with one play left in regulation yesterday.

Toss in the OT loss to SMU, and it is a sad pattern for them.

Agree. Tulane is much better than its 5-5 record indicates. A solid football team that has struggled to close games.

Tulsa is very good. Not sure "Top 25-ish good." BUT, that team knows how to win. And that's worth a lot.

They were able to win a close game against South Alabama earlier this season, taking their first lead with 3:18 left in the game to win 27-24. Too bad the pattern you mention started after their game with South Alabama. 03-drunk

Except I'm not having Tulsa's fortune.

It's actually part of my name: Cynic + cyclone (I'm a nerd for hurricanes and big storms) = cyniclone. Thought it was clever, then one day when I went to buy a ticket from someone on another board and he used my screen name, I cringed so hard I needed a plunger to retrieve my face. Lesson learned: Sound things out loud before committing to them.

What impresses me about Tulane is the upgrade in athletes. When I attended the USF @ Tulane game in 2017, I had a sideline seat and was able to see the players up close. We had noticeably larger linemen, taller receivers, etc. We were just a level above in terms of physical specimens.

But when I see Tulane on TV now, they are beefed up. The lineman are larger, and in a quality sense, bigger frames, not fatter, the skills guys seem faster, etc. They don't seem to be at a physicality disadvantage like they were just a couple years ago.
