Rumor mill says more arrests could be forthcoming.

2 of these criminals are SJW Marxists so that makes me happy.

Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld arrested on federal corruption charges

FBI agents arrested Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld Thursday morning on federal charges accusing him of accepting bribes in exchange for favorable votes on development deals, a source with knowledge of the arrest told The Enquirer.

Sittenfeld, a Democrat and the presumptive front-runner in next year’s mayoral election, was arrested around 9:30 a.m.

Elected to council in 2011, Sittenfeld has amassed a campaign war chest of $710,000 on his way to becoming one of the city’s most powerful politicians. He is the brother of novelist Curtis Sittenfeld, author of "Prep" and "Rodham."

The federal charges mean one-third of Cincinnati’s City Council – three sitting members of the city’s top legislative body – have been arrested this year on corruption charges related to city development projects.

Tamaya Dennard, a Democrat, resigned from council after her arrest in February on fraud and bribery charges. She has pleaded guilty to a charge of honest services wire fraud and is scheduled to be sentenced next week.
Jeff Pastor, a Republican, was arrested Nov. 10 on bribery, extortion and money laundering charges related to two development deals, according to a federal affidavit. That case is pending. His attorney, Ben Dusing, said Pastor will fight the charges.

Sittenfeld's street cred just skyrocketed. He'll be elected mayor for sure now!

He is one of the new breed around Cincy where city council is their only job, where it is supposed to be part time. I thought his Dad had $$ so mildly surprised.

Tamaya Dennard was PJ Sittenfeld's right hand assistant so anyone wonder where she learned to grift from?
When it was intimated a couple weeks ago after Pastor was arrested that more shoes were going to drop,
I immediately thought of Sittenfeld due to his close connection to Dennard.

Cincinnati (and Hamilton County) has been all but run by Democrats for 40 years, save but Joe Deters and a few others.
It's so poorly run, miserably in the red, and yet the city residents walk lock step into the voting booth and vote in D after D.

Maybe the corruption will wake them up but I'm not hopeful.

Not arguing the city and county finances are a mess, but PBS is a huge reason for that. A deal brokered mainly by the Hamilton County Commissioners who at the time, were majority republicans. In fact, when Bob Bedinghaus lost his seat to Todd Portune, he was welcomed by Mike Brown into the Bengals front office.

Sounds like they had plenty to go after. I wonder if any more of the Gang of 5 were in on this. I would be surprised to see Cranley or Smitherman caught up in it as both seem to be pretty stand up people even though I disagree with some of their political stances.

PBS deal hurt the county and they fired something like 25% of their employees. Guys like Mann, Luken, Portune, never had a problem voting for them with a D next to their name.

They both have real careers, Cranley is lawyer somewhere, and Smitherman has a wealth management company I think.

The citizens of the county voted for the PBS deal 20 years ago.
PBS is not the main reason the county had problems at this point.
Inept leadership and patronizing special interest are the cruces.
CPS is as poorly run as the city and county governments.
Common thread throughout? Democrats.

Pretty much yeah. BTW I was on Clinton Springs Drive last week, think Smitherman lives there, saw a 10 point Buck walking across the street. Big Boy.

Pretty sure one of the developers getting shaken down went to the feds. Reports I've read and heard indicate Pastor was not very discreet about seeking graft.

RE: 1/3rd of Cincy City Council has been arrested this year
700wlw radio commenter Mike Allen today indicated that he believes there is at least one more shoe to drop related to council grifting.
Given it isn't Amy Murray or her replacement Betsy Sunderman nor the replacement for Dennard Jan-Michele Lemon-Kearney (based on timing)...who would that leave?

Young, Mann, Landsman, Seelback or Smitherman.

Mann would shock me. He's 80 years old and has a long clean track record.
Smitherman would shock me too given what he was dealing with in his personal life.
