Anchors pretty much always say what’s on the teleprompter, but did he just officially announce that Liberty on 10/2 will be our first game in the stadium?

That leaves us with @UGA on 9/11 & @Tulane on 9/25. You slide in weeks 1 & 3 and that’s at least 4 games on the road to start the year (we could take week 3 as a bye, but week 0 is technically 8/29 so we would be idle on the first Sat of the season, too). That’s brutal with a capital ‘B’... Maybe we open with a body-bag game at LF in Sep?

The 4-games-on-the-road-to-start-the-season scenario was previously mentioned on this board. If I'm not mistaken 2 of those four were CUSA games...

Suddenly I’m not looking forward to next September. Opening the stadium when we’re 1-3 or 2-2 will be a bummer.

Well, probably an L @UGA & we haven’t been spectacular in G5 road games so that’s @Tulane & 2 losses

We could assume the 2 CUSA games are @UTSA & @WKU which would make it 2-2, but one of those could be @USM or @UNT (which likely would be tough), so 1-3 or 2-2.

But, if we’re 4-0 we’ll definitely be ranked so I suppose that’s the “half full” outlook

Hopefully they're just using the Oct 2nd date because that's all that's currently scheduled.

Hopefully (and likely). As I said, the news anchor was the one who said it and we all know he's just reading what's in front of him. That's just the first time, I'm pretty sure, that I've heard anyone say that date/opponent to the general public (the info's easy to find on the internet, but that also only reflects what is publicly known).

To or from where? It doesn't seem to be attached to anything...

That’s where we are going to keep the Memphis fans. They have been under Bartow so long their population has increased to the point where more room is needed

It looks like it may be the westernmost "bookend" to the northeast entrance gate. Just a guess and looking at the renderings.
