Romney gets one more dig at Trump
Mitten's refusal to support Trump's Fed nomination has likely sunk the nominees chances

Nominee was rejected 47-50. Cocaine Mitch flipped his vote so true count was 48-49.

RE: Romney gets one more dig at Trump
Actually Covid likely sunk it. Rick Scott and Chuck Grassley weren't there because they were self-quarantining. And Lamar Alexander wasn't there either - he's retiring and has missed a few votes lately for personal reasons. Grassley (87 years old) later announced in the day he's tested positive for Covid.

McConnell's no vote actually means they can vote on her later next month. Although Mark Kelly might officially replace McSally by then, so her confirmation is by no means a done deal. She apparently is against the Federal Reserve to begin with - makes you wonder why she wants to serve on its board.

I knew McConnell switched it for that reason and that Grassley had Covid. The Alexander vote and the Scott vote were already canceling each other out since Alexander was against the nomination but was not going to be there to.vote no.

While Covid killed Grassley's vote, it allowed Romney to deliver an unnecessary no vote that sealed the deal. Hopefully McConnell can get this back on the calendar
