Good to see some other sports picking it up. Seemed like everything else was really in the cellar minus football for the past couple years. The more successful programs we have on campus, the better. Congrats to the Golf team!

Men's golf is probably our most consistently successful program over the last 20 years. Men's soccer used to be right there with them but it has fallen off the map.

Speaking of UAB golf, I didn't realize until I started watching last week that Graeme had qualified for The Masters. Missed the cut by a stroke, but nice to see him back at Augusta.

Being a past winner of a major (US Open) gives him an easier path but he does have to qualify every year. Now the US Open includes ALL past winners, so Graeme is qualified to play in that every year as long as he wishes.

I don't know about that. If the US Open has a lifetime exemption, that's news to me. I know the last time it was a Pebble was the 10 year anniversary of when he won it, and the last year on his 10 year exemption. The PGA has a lifetime exemption. And obviously the Masters.

Looks like the US Open is 10 years, which will make 2021 his last year with that exemption. More than likely after that he will have to be in the top 70 of the world rankings to get an exemption. He is currently #69.

Gotcha. Got mixed up w/ PGA. Last I checked he was still making decent $$ on the Euro tour.
