What are we learning? Teams that win can defend and rebound plus they have a few stars that can get their against quality defense. Most winning teams have at least 2 good 3 point shooters and have quality size down low and overall with some girth.

Loyola should be a template for most mid majors with respect to half court defense. Great connected defense with excellent help at all times. They rebounded well too out of it. They shared the ball well too on offense with good player and ball movement.

In short, trading baskets is not the answer. Teams that defend well are the teams that win most of the time.
