Well crap.
USA Today story includes Parrish. Did we know this?

LSU has acknowledged formally disciplining two of the nine athletes: Davis and Peter Parrish, a quarterback accused of raping a woman in a car outside a bar earlier this year. LSU suspended Parrish for one year. The university expelled Davis, but not until July 2019 – four months after his criminal conviction, and 10 months after he’d already left the school.

RE: Well crap.
I started reading the article thinking, how evil is LSU. Then I read the section on Parrish and threw up a little.

Good news, with some reservation, he was never charged and Silverfield says he, like all players was carefully reviewed.

Very selective enforcement by LSU. One of their star players was accused of raping 3 women and even took photos wasn't suspended. Meanwhile their backup QB was suspended for a year. LSU has become the cesspool of college athletics in both football and basketball.

07-coffee3 If you read the USA article it makes you wonder why any athletic program would even consider allowing these athletes to transfer to their university.

I hope I’m wrong about Parrish, but if he was not good enough to compete for the LSU qb spot, and he’s has questionable character, is he worth the risk? A guy like that can destroy team chemistry.

Coach Silverfield is weeding out the bad apples. That’s one of the reasons some of the guys are no longer here and others are not playing.

Didn't LSU have the best QB in the world last year.

If we would have signed him instead of LSU, he would have been the 7th highest ranked recruit in our history. Common sense says that you write him off as a football player before he has taken a snap.

Furthermore, he WAS good enough to compete for the LSU QB spot... he just lost.

07-coffee3 I don't care if he hopes he is wrong but I do agree that it is not worth the risk with the character of the player and that it can destroy team chemistry. Why risk it ?

It is refreshing to find someone not accepting of the current culture of "all or nothing" sports hot-takes.
"X team is AWFUL this year." .... cuz they went 6-6???
"X qb has no arm strength" .... cuz he can throw the ball 45 yards, but not 60 yards???

+3

What are you talking about? There was never a single charge brought on him, that I'm aware of. If you have info, please share.
So now it becomes, if Marc Mensa says you raped him should you be fired and never hired anywhere?
