This is not an intelligent take. FIU has had some of the best recruiting classes in C-USA since Butch Davis took over (look at 247 overall rank or avg recruit ranking). Right now, FIU has the highest average recruit ranking in the whole conference for the 2021 class with 11 commits. FIU also just landed the commitment from the #1 JUCO DT in the country from the class of 2019 (Savion Williams who will transfer from Tennessee). That is despite the ongoing 0-5 season. Butch Davis can still recruit.

FIU has the 2nd highest "talent composite" according to 247 in all of C-USA.

You can make all the excuse you want but you're 0-5 and you were competitive in 1 game. Butch is not getting it done and he's not going to. You have absolutely no fan support (FAU is not great but it's heads and shoulders above the kittles).

I don't necessarily want the kitties to fold but point to something that is moving in the right direction in Sweetwater.

You explicitly mentioned recruiting. Which I addressed. I didn't make excuses, I brought facts.

Now you are deflecting to 0-5. Yes, I am aware the team is 0-5. You claim the team was only competitive in one game. FIU lost to Liberty by two points. FIU lost to MT by three points after leading at the start of the 4th quarter. FIU was within one-score in the fourth quarter of the JSU game. FIU was leading WKU at the half. Really the only game FIU didn't stand a chance in was the FAU game. FIU was competitive in four of the five games they played, despite putting a shell of its original team on the field.

It’s great how delusional people can be. By the way, recruiting is proven on the field. You can keep your stars, what matters is Ws and Ls. Every year it’s another excuse.
