Yeah disagree on Texas. Florida is SEC nut jobs a notch down from Bama fans. You all know the story with Ohio State fans especially the T-shirts.

My impression is Texas fans are just arrogant AF in similar ways like Michigan fans. From my visits to the state, I actually think A&M are more diehards in general. They just don’t get the national press Texas does.

South Carolina is reportedly hiring Oklahoma Assistant Head Coach (but not a coordinator) Shane Beamer (son of former Virginia Tech HC Frank.) Reportedly they also met/interviewed Coastal Carolina HC Jamey Chadwell and UL HC Scott Satterfied (UL AD is pissed btw). Others reportedly in the mix were Army HC Jeff Monken, Louisiana HC Billy Napier and Liberty HC Hugh Freeze.

i am intrigued by where he ends up landing. Shown that he can beat an (admittedly dismal) p5 team and top 25 ranked competition. He's got TN roots per his wikipedia. Would Vandy give him a look?

Wonder if Shane Beamer will try to coax Bud Foster out of retirement to be his DC.

I saw an article last night where they listed Fickell as a candidate for the Arizona job. They said he had some links to the Arizona area from days going to the bowl game out there. Talk about a stretch. LOL

If he didn’t take MSU I struggle to see what would be more appealing about Arizona. In fact, is Arizona more appealing then Cincinnati is currently? Even trying to be objective, I just don’t see it.

I'd be more worried if the Wolverines were to come calling. He is looking for that level of job, I think, and he is a perfect fit for them with his recruiting footprint. The only reason they wouldn't want him is that the fashion in Columbus now is to hire a celebrity coach, and the folks in Ann Arbor will expect no less.

I don't think TT is planning to run much offense anyway in his new job.

Paying up to 8 million a year will overcome all kinds of objections if need be.

It will be Campbell’s job if he wants it...if he says no I expect them to back the brinks truck up to Chateau Fickell.

Both guys recruit all over Ohio and that is one place Harbaugh flew the surrender flag when it comes to recruiting.

Perhaps UT...one more loss to get to 2-7 in year #3 and Jeremy Pruitt may get the Butch Jones Memorial Parting Gift Payout.

I would doubt most major football schools will want a coach who runs Coastal Carolina's offense.

Totally agree but seeing the spindly armed mathletes he is working with its the equivalent of running the Veer in grade school when you don’t have a QB or anyone who can catch.

I don't know why Campbell would necessarily be preferred to Fickell. Campbell has been good, but not back up the truck like Urban Meyer good.

I don't think so. They accused Fickell of lying during the Transfer/eligibility fiasco. Fickell won't forget that.

RE: 2020 Coaching Carousel
That was orchestrated by Harbaugh. Who knows what info the AD there was given.

I don’t think he will be their top choice but if they come calling, he has proven the past two years that he will listen. And with the $$ they will offer and the assistant salary pool that will be committed to, he may listen intently.

I'm surprised to see someone interested in Denbrock. I'm also surprised to see UK thinking they would be a better option.
