I agree, however I was worried about those games too. I think being an away game compounds the worry. I will keep worrying and hope the 'Cats prove me wrong like they did with Memphis and SMU.

SMU was away as well. Ball control offense, 0 to minimal turnovers, should be ok

34-24 good guys.

I don’t know, that night game with a packed stadium turned out pretty well for us last year....

And the game 2 years ago @UCF?

The whole idea behind the hurry up offense is to keep the defense off balance. If your defense knows what it's doing, it doesn't matter how fast they snap the ball.

F&F had the defense ready last year. They had their sub patterns thought out and they were able to rotate guys in at a moment's notice. Got no reason to think they won't be ready this year.

And Heuplel is no genius. What's he going to do to throw us off guard, slow it down? Their whole offensive pattern is a gimmick to start with.

Bolded isn't exactly the "whole idea". A big part of it is to create and/or exploit mismatches by preventing substitutions and it can be effective even when the defense is aware it will happen. A good example is when the defense puts in its pass rushers for 3rd and long and the offense comes close but doesn't quite make the 1st down. They very frequently hustle in to run that 4th down play up the middle before the defense can substitute in their best run stoppers.

That is the purpose of having a designated "cramper" to stop play.

Paul Keels will always have a place in my heart because a lot of UC's football an basketball games were not televised in those days, and I relied on the WLW broadcast to keep up with the teams.

As Tony Pike said today, this is a huge game in the landscape of Cincinnati sports...which means they’ll more than likely lose. Follow Billy and take UCF plus the points.
