Will they recover?
The Ivy League has announced the cancellation of their basketball season, and it is widely expected that the Patriot League will follow suit. It is one thing if the season is shortened, or if you don't have fans; but if you have no season at all, when most of the rest of the college basketball world goes ahead, do you place yourself in a position where your program will never be able to recover?

Are players going to stay where they can't play, when everyone else is playing? How are you going to recruit if you cannot assure the players that they will be playing, and that you are not even going to try to play?

The Ivy League probably has plenty of money, so they can survive it from that standpoint, but they can still kill their program by saying that they are not willing to go to the trouble to navigate through difficult waters, and instead will just stay in port.
