Just curious what you guys get out of this silly 5th grade back and forth?

I would imagine all of us have our opinions/science/echo chamber on this issue, and y'all aren't changing anybody's minds. But you just can't leave it alone, will you?

Some positive news: we've had about 10 straight days of declining Covid related hospitalizations in Alabama per the ADPH dashboard.

Good news. Didn’t come close to projections. Now if we could get the celebrating when an unvaxxed dies, to stop.

Since I’m here. I get the 2nd moderna Jab next Monday.

I’ve never celebrated the death of an unvaxxed individual. I feel sorry for their friends and families that there was likely a way to prevent death, and it wasn’t taken advantage of.

I saw this thing turning into a political argument way back when Trump was in office, and new back then that it was going to be a horrible thing for our future.

Every one of those flags also represents the wife, friends, children, mothers who they left behind.

Purposely tried to steer clear of the fray. He served in our military for a long time and seemed to be a decent guy. I meant it when I said I deeply appreciate his service as well as that of all current and former service members. My Dad and pretty much all my uncles were vets too. Not sure we'll ever see another generation like them. May they all RIP.

Back in the 80s, I was on lunchroom monitoring duty at WEHS with fellow history teacher Taylor Green. He casually mentioned that his brother in law had gotten a promotion. I was thinking a local bank or insurance company so I asked about it, He smiled and told me that President Reagan had just named him as Chairman of the National Security Council. That is how I found out that he and Colin Powell had married sisters (Alma and Barbra) from B'ham.

Barbra Green later became an administrator for Lawson State and invited Colin Powel to a ceremony there where he spoke as the main speaker. Their son, Taylor Green, Jr (Powell's nephew) is in administration in the B'ham School System (the last I heard)
