Cincy with another convincing win. Everybody else seemingly off due to covid. Cincy drops to 9th?

The RPI computerized rankings shows no difference for Cincinnati and actually moves up East Carolina to #110.

Pounding Houston earned UC a one spot drop last week...doing what they did to ECU last night has to have earned at least a 2 spot drop.

As a reference point *before* last night's game Cincinnati was ranked #5 in the Massey rankings East Carolina was ranked #113.

If SMU wins tonight, Cincinnati drops 2 spots. If Tulsa wins tonight, Cincinnati drops 5-10 spots.

Cincinnati is in a similar position to UCF a couple of years ago when undefeated UCF was forced to play then bottom dwellers East Carolina and UConn. This year Cincinnati also has playoff aspirations. Playing East Carolina might actually hurt their chances.

Maybe. There is no UConn to play this year thankfully. All you can do is win big against weaker competition. Our last three games are on the road against UCF, Temple and Tulsa so that will help offset ECU. That said, who knows how COVID will impact other P5 elites in terms of cancelled games...just keep playing one game at a time and see where the chips fall.

UC will certainly drop a spot for fake punt call in 4th Quarter...

Next week will tell if UC has any chance of advancing....been like that all year, was always @UCF...

Well, Cincy did play on Friday night so that's worth losing another spot or two regardless of the beat down they imposed. Or at least that's how the biased P-5 media whores will see it.

Still hearing the Texas Rangers complaints I see. Stop trying because you're winning too much. I guess it would've been better sportsmanship if uc let ecu block the punt. Or maybe uc should just kneel 4 times and give the ball back next time

Yeah, seriously, I've never gotten these arguments. It's up to the other team to stop you. Cincy was just playing their game. The fact UC pounded us is on us is because we suck and can't stop anyone or score. It's that simple.

Expect to go up with a quality loss to UCF?

To be fair, Cincinnati is further ahead of where UCF was and UCF probably bought a little bit of respectability for what they were able to do in those years.

Just keep winning and let’s see where things shake out. UCF won’t be an easy win so it’s probably premature to worry about it just yet.

I agree..never count wins against teams like ucf. Seems like they can drop 50+ on any given night

Tulane's decisive defeat of Army might boost the stature of the AAC a bit, which might be helpful to Cincy.
