Rockets took Ball State to 5 sets again today, but couldn't finish, losing the 5th 15-10. Rockets fall to 2-4 on the season.

Three Rockets with double-figure kills Alt (14) Swope (11) Beasley (10). Neal had 8 aces, which ties for third best all time at UT. Rockets had 14 blocks, and they lead the MAC with 2.6 blocks per set.

Why were the last two matches cancelled? Anyone know?

Yes. One of the Miami games was rescheduled to March, but only 1, so likely the other will be cancelled. The Kent games this week have been pushed out slightly to Sat/Sun.

No stream of today's match, but that was probably good, as the Rockets lost in 3 sets, and the stats were bad.

Morman, Alt, Vance, Erickson, Pierce and Liz Beasley did not play - all players who have been starting or getting lots of playing time in the previous matches. So, was that due to COVID tests and contact tracing? Not much hope for tomorrow's match then either.

Vollyball lost to EMU 0-3 last night. Had the whole team back, but looked like they hadn't played in a month.

Apparently the Rockets got their legs back, and turned around yesterday's loss into a 3 set victory over EMU.

Rockets led the 1st set @Miami 24-19, and somehow managed to find a way to lose it 27-25. After losing the 2nd, they came back in the 3rd to again lead 24-19, and what happened ... they lose that set too, 26-24. Yikes.

Well, the Rockets lost to that team down south today in 4 sets.

However, I think this may have been the best match they have played all year. BG is crazy good this year (as much as that pains me to say) and is undefeated. In fact coming into the match, they had only lost 10 sets in 15 matches. So, UT taking even one was not at all expected. UT actually had more kills than BG, and when they ran their offense well they were very effective. But, it was just way too many mistakes - 12 service errors and 31 attack errors just not going to get it done against a good team. Alt led the Rockets with 18 kills.

Now, due to crazy COVID times, they play AT Ohio tomorrow afternoon. That's a tough turnaround.

BG 18-0 coming into the match, UT 5-12. Depressing season, but being able to Ruin BG's attempt at an undefeated season is not a bad way to wind down the season. UT has won the last 3.
