In a vacuum, or on paper, agreed.
But, just asking, you both are legit saying you’d be ok if it was your team facing that deal? Hard to believe most would be ok with that.

Then we should just cancel all games after a team clinches it’s division. What if Troy needs that game?

That’s not what I’m saying... y’all know this is an exceptional year, with exceptional circumstances. When has something like this (teams across half the conference needing to make up 2 games) happened before?
It’s a one off, with compelling reasons to be a one time exception. That’s all I’m saying. Has to be at least considered. I mean, we all talk protecting top hoops seeds with early round byes, etc. Why would we handicap (theoretical, till we prove we can beat App) the favorite in football?
Guess we will see what the Sun Belt decides.

Coastal, since your season is going so special, Jamey chadwell has been named one of the primary candidates to replace to replace Muschamp at South Carolina. Wow.

Would I want other teams and my conference to remove any obstacles to an undefeated season after seven games? No. Honestly there is benefits to Troy not playing Coastal. That’s likely an ugly L at home, but anyone that has ever played competitive sports, you always want that opportunity to compete on the field.
Quote for the day.
Destiny favors the prepared.

With Troy out of the CCG picture this was the easiest solution

Wonder what they'd do if Troy's slim mathematical chance at the East happens?

There's a scenario where Troy wins the east:
1. Troy beats Coastal, App, and South.
2. GS loses to State but beats App.
3. App beats Coastal
In that scenario App, Troy, and Coastal are all 6-2 in conference and Troy wins the tiebreaker. It's not likely, but it's not ludicrously contrived, either.
