Talk about in the middle of nowhere! Childhood home to George W Bush. Neighbor to the city of Odessa. I actually have a couple of friends who live there. If they were allowing fans I would definitely attend. They have some really good local eateries.

I really hate to do this, and I know I just referenced this a few weeks ago, but...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grande_Com...ns_Stadium

We're playing in a high school stadium. Kinda reminiscent of Tad Gormley in New Orleans. And that didn't go well for us.

I'm assuming to have time to get the stadium ready for a high school game that night.

This game I know they had to play somewhere other than El Paso. It is a severe breakout in the area, not on the football team, that has caused them to cancel games lately. As far as not being on Saturday who knows?

Only CUSA would willingly agree to play second fiddle to high school football...

I'm not putting a scrap of this on CUSA. UTEP has had 3 of its last 4 games postponed or canceled. If this was the best solution UTEP could find that's on them. It's their home game so their AD makes the call. It's their missed revenue, travel costs, turning it essentially into an away game, etc. I'm sure they called UAB first for our OK. Better this than another weekend of nothing...

That stadium is nicer than most small college stadiums. That was a dump we played in in NO. Not even comparable.
