Picks for week 11, Covid Athletic Conference. My disclaimer is that all of the games I picked are still on when I typed this.

Florida Atlantic 3-1 (3-1) @ Florida International 0-3 - They maybe talking about Butch Davis retiring after this season. Hung tough with Liberty but the Jax State loss is the definer. Taggart's Owls posted 10 points last weekend so I expect more this time out. FAU 24 FIU 14.

Middle Tennessee 2-5 (2-3) @ #15 Marshall 6-0 (3-0) - Marshall appears to be the team to beat in CUSA this wacky season so I expect a W this time out in Huntington but at least Stockstill can say they competed. Marshall 38 MTSU 20.

Gardner-Webb 0-0 (*-*) @ Charlotte 2-3 (2-1) - The 49ers have played well at times, North Texas, but then reality struck at Duke. I have no doubt they stifle the Bulldogs from Boiling Springs but maybe not to the margin hoped for. Charlotte 31 GW 21.

UTEP 3-3 (0-2) @ UTSA 4-4 (2-2) - Other than Texas, UTEP has not played too bad, but anyone who stays within a TD of BYU gets my attention. UTSA wins this one without much problem. UTSA 41 UTEP 20.

North Texas 2-3 (1-2) @ UAB 4-3 (2-1) - It has been nearly a month since North Texas actually played a game & as I type this looks to still be a go. That being said the Eagles are no match for the Blazers in Birmingham or in Denton for at all that matter. UAB 35 North Texas 17.

Southern Miss 2-5 (1-2) @ Western Kentucky 2-6 (1-3) - Talk about two proud programs who are heading in the same direction this season. WKU seems to have a good foundation other than an inept passing attack while the Golden Eagles have more question marks than a Riddler Halloween costume. I expect the Toppers to prevail in Bowling Green. WKU 24 USM 14.

Rice 1-1 (1-1) @ Louisiana Tech 4-3 (3-2) - The odds are in LaTech's favor because you aren't sure Rice will even play this one. Rice has looked pretty good when they have actually played but I just can't see them winning in Rustin. Provided Covid doesn't beat Rice first look for the Bulldogs to. LaTech 31 Rice 23.
