Final Score: Liberty 38 - Virginia Tech 35

What a great football team. Wonder if CUSA could add them and drop DOA in the East?

I'm all for this suggestion.

RE: Liberty
Honest questions:

1. How many votes in favor are needed to add a new member? 11-3? 12-2?

2. Can existing members be voted out? Is that a thing? If it is, how many votes are needed to do that?

RE: Liberty
I would be okay with Liberty now that Falwell jr is gone. If I were going to add two teams to the east it would be James Madison and Liberty
and add James Madison for all sports except football and Liberty for football only.

Liberty has a decent Hoops program too.

I don’t see a downside in adding Liberty. Plus it would make the conference split easier a few years from now.

I hope they are included in the new East Coast Conference when it finally happens.

No one is interested in expanding to 15 programs. The OP clearly stated that Liberty being added would be predicated on DOA being dropped.

I think people are running out of excuses to dismiss Liberty.

I covered parts of that Lynchburg to Blacksburg area for a few years, believe me, that is a major statement win for Liberty.

And like someone else mentioned in this thread, Fallwell jr is out.

At this point, it's just hate for hates sake.

Now if they can go on and take down NC State and Coastal Carolina, will people then take notice?

RE: OT: Liberty
I would be more than okay giving FIU the boot, and
inviting Liberty in for all sports.

They're not an FCS call up, and they're not a one sport program either.

Okay pardon my lack of knowledge but what or who is DOA?

We do not need a school whose education standards are even below Marshall's. They can go pound sand.

That would also exclude FIU :-D
