US House thread
Figured I would separate this so it doesn't get buried in the general election thread.

Current RCP count:
211 D
194 R (+5)

Remaining races, R lead 20, D lead 9 and 1 is a runoff. 17 of the 30 are in NY or CA.

That would make it 220-214-1. That would be +15 for the Republicans.

RE: US House thread
What is amazing is how few flips there have been so far and how much of a wipeout it has been for the Democrats' efforts to gain seats.

So far 8 flips have been called for the Republicans and 3 for the Democrats. 2 of those 3 were redrawn districts that were strong blue in NC. The other was a 51-49 win in Georgia 6, a district that was expected to flip with the retirement of the incumbent Republican.

220-214-1 would mean San Fran Nan will either cast aside as speaker in January or when the GOP re-takes the house in 2022. Either way, her days as SOTH are numbered.

Speaker Pelosi has publicly stated a few times now that she wouldn't run in 2022.

I don't think there's a will to remove her for the 117th session, but nothing would surprise me either.

Not according to the Dems on that conference. They realize the radical loons almost cost quite a few more of them their seat than the damage already done in the 2020 election.

They see the bloodbath coming in 2020 if they do not take preventative measures.

Democrats didn't put the fraud operation for US House, they didn't think they needed to, ditto US Senate.

Don't look yet, but Republicans are probably going to have two House members representing the City of New York.

How is the election in Staten Island not called yet? The Republican is leading by 15.8% with 85% of the votes counted.

I don't believe that changed much...wasn't only one of those a flip? I could obviously be reading the old maps wrong or districts could've been changed, but from what I can see, the Long Island districts have been red for quite some time, the Staten Island district is the lone flip (which is actually reverting back to more recent district norms as it had been a Republican district for each of the last three elections prior to the '18 mid term), unless I'm missing one which is obviously possible. Either way it is very interesting, even if Long Island has long been a more conservative area of the NY Metro Area.

RCP 214 D
195 R (+5)

Republicans lead in 17, D in 8, 1 is a runoff.
17 of the 26 are in CA or NY. Leaves me more than a little suspicious of shenanigans.

RE: US House thread
Republicans need to find a group of about 10 moderate Democrats to make a deal with whereby one of them gets elected speaker of the house in exchange for Republicans commitment to support specific agreed upon legislation Proposals.

If there are 10 anti Pelosi Dems a deal is looking more and more mathematically feasible

Here is a good place to start. While Blue Dogs tend to be all bark and no bite, this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. The willing could demand chairmanship as well as virtually hand picking the Speaker. Better then slowly getting primaried by progressives or beaten by Republicans

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_..._Coalition

After the 2020 elections there are 20 of them left

Henry Cuellar of Texas and Ben McAdams of Utah are the last 2 pro life democrats left

RE: US House thread
Pelosi’s days as speaker are numbered. It’s just a matter of when. Do the few Dems that barely squeaked by in purple districts this year vote with the GOP to oust her or does she’s hang on unt the Republicans take the house in 2022.

But they will certainly do it in the midterms, China could even help again with another biological attack. Let this one pass and say goodbye to the so beloved "moderation" everyone blabs about. AOC will make that stupid list something legal.

No,

She said I’ve gotta go, I’ve got a man date to go on.

Her senility is kicking in hard and is thinking she’s 19 again, instead of 90.
