RE: US House thread
Still not calling many of the remaining races.
RCP has it 215 D, 200 R (+5). Republicans lead 14 of the 20 remaining.

While most of the 20 are close, the Republicans have big leads in Alaska and 4 of the New York state races not yet called.

Democrat concedes to Michelle Steel ® for a California US House Seat.

This is a traditional Republican stronghold district, but it's a positive R flip

Steel, along with one other Rep, will be the first Korean American in Congress.

RE: US House thread
RCP called two seats since yesterday. The GOP won the Utah seat beating a pro life Democrat. The Dems held one of the NY seats that the GOP is still technically winning but is likely to lose once more mail in ballots are counted.

Current AntiPelosi count is 210 with 5 seats still undecided and a number of 2019 anti Pelosi votes failing to make a declaration one way or the other

Honest question: what does “Blue Dog” mean in the context of 2020/2021? Under Clinton (mid/late ’90s) it was a group of people that were clearly more conservative than the rest of the Dem. caucus, and they were trying to come to terms with the dawning realization that they were totally irrelevant to Democrat politics, going forward. Which proved to be the case.

But now? I mean, what issue(s) are these people even talking about? With the exception of Cuellar (TX/28), and maybe 1 or 2 others, they’re all down-the-line partisan/liberal Democrats, who fit comfortably within the Democrats’ ideological consensus and never EVER vote against the leadership when it really counts.

These are the New York districts. It really makes no sense. 20 of 27 are 100% counted. 1 is 99% counted. The other 6 are from 76 to 87%. The lowest is NY3 they called for the D even though they are behind 11 days since the election. Really leaves you wondering what is going on there.

Not really sure. But they self identify as Blue Dog and have joined that branch despite it arguably being a dead label. They usually are the ones most at odds with the leadership and promise not.to vote for Pelosi

Trump won, either way.

"...More than 73 million free-thinking Americans refused to be intimidated, tricked or shamed out of voting for Trump. They saw through four years of lies about Russia collusion, golden showers in Moscow hotels, corruption in Ukraine, “suckers and losers,” and “white supremacists.”

Even if, as seems probable, Joe Biden ends up living in the White House, and inviting his son Hunter to dinner with new business prospects from China, the corrupt bipartisan globalist establishment is not back in the ascendancy.

Despite the predictions of experts, there was no “blue wave.” The election was a firm repudiation of socialism, “defund the police” madness and the rest of the woke smorgasbord Dems offered...."

The GOP candidate conceded in NJ-07.

It’s currently 222-210 with 3 more to go. Check me, but the last I heard the GOP led in all 3 of them.

Didn't know the GOP candidate conceded in the NJ race. RCP is slacking

The GOP does lead on all 3 remaining races by razor thin margins. The IA race is under recount
