I believe it's no coincidence that this happened the week after we headed to Florida to play FAU.

Can we un-reschedule the game at Marshall and host UTSA that day instead?

This was brought up on RowdyTalk.com also. One of our posters mentioned that if C-USA is prioritizing division games, they should perhaps cancel the Rice/Marshall game and reschedule this one in its place.

The Marshall game needs to happen, as it is already rescheduled.

It will happen.

Canceling the UTSA @ Rice game is the far more logical outcome at this point.

You want to further piss off the Marshall faithful, who are already at wits end with the Texas bias in this conference, by all means cancel the Marshall game.

I would rather just go to Marshall, beat them, and shut up the BS.

I'm thankful to play Rice this year, we needed the game.

I'm frustrated for everyone, as the postponements, slow starts, no starts, and cancellations are no fun.

Not criticizing you (in fact, you were just responding to a Rice poster)....but this makes zero sense.

For one thing, no one knows what the situation is going to be nation-wide in December. It would look super foolish to switch a Rice-Marshall game to Rice-UTSA, and then perhaps at the last moment UTSA has to bow out.

But secondly and way more important, UTSA has already played 8 games compared to Marshall's 5. To be fair to Marshall, the conference should keep the schedule as it is (for now, if things change later in the year to warrant a last-second change, then you can change things at the last moment).
