Heartbroken to say that I will not be participating in the 20-21 season due to injury. My spirts are up and I’m looking forward to supporting my teammates.Thank you Monarch nation for your support throughout this difficult process . I WILL BE BACK NEXT SEASON!!!

Just parsing his statement (which is as classy as ever): his singular reference to “throughout this process” makes it sound like it is the same injury.

Absolutely brutal...heartbroken by this news.

How awful, he added so much in so many ways. Maybe we have someone who gets as many hustle points and plays sad Jason, but they're going to have to show it. Maybe Oliver, though he doesn't have the body to bang like Wade.

This might be a new injury or a new issue with the prior injury. I haven't heard from anyone but I know he seemed to be well on track to playing. This is awful news for Jason.

Yeah its definitely odd. Doesn't typically take this long to get back on the court from that injury, but probably does take a that much time to get from 80% to 100%. I wonder if they just decided that with the way things are going because of COVID and the extra year of eligibility that it just wasn't worth coming back this year since he would be somewhere below 100%. I also wonder if the scheduling with potentially back to back games every week played into the decision.

I'd think if he just wasn't 100% then they'd wait and see how it goes and maybe play later in the season, not make an announcement at the beginning. During a normal year maybe so you can get a medical redshirt but this year is a freebie anyway.

Unfortunately for Wade. He is our most exciting player. Moving fast forward, I am not sure, how many years Wade will have to play after next year. VP did not make it clear. Please advise if you know the answer. We lose a lot of players with this year's senior' s and 21-22. Here's opening, he will have two years 22-23 & 23-24.
