$45k per year for life plus medical...I think.
Have we not retired his jersey because of the incomplete degree? Or did we retire it and I just blanked out due to a great tailgate?

If he has 2 more classes to take, he likely hasn't graduated. I believe that's a prerequisite.

Been a Cowboys fan since 1960. I was in the ninth grade when I was at the first game they ever played in the Cotton Bowl that year -- a preseason game against the Baltimore Colts with Johnny Unitas, Ray Berry, Lenny Moore and Alan Ameche. Dallas' QB was 5' 7" Eddie LeBarron, who incidentally played his first seven seasons in the NFL for none other than the Washington Redskins. (By the way, his pro career was delayed for two years while serving as a U.S. Marine in the Korean War. He was wounded twice and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for heroism.)
Anyway -- so, yeah, I am an original Cowboys fan and proud of it. But...
I am a 100% bona fide Taylor Heinicke fan and am pulling for him all the way. And if he is playing against the Pokes -- all I can say is, GO EXSKINS!
Please excuse me. I just puked, but I meant every word of it.
Great news. I am not to try and out anyone but everytime I read some of the original posts it makes me chuckle. Hope he has a true chance to win the job.

Dude this is different level money. TH is about to have all kinds of “friends” and “family” coming out the weeds with their hands out.
And while it’s all fun and dandy to say invest a mill and get returns, you’re assuming he is getting some guaranteed cash that he can bank on investing a mill off the top.
I am just hoping his contract gives him a chance to make half the 8.7
In a way... Taylor represents all of us. Coming from a smaller VA school not named UVA or VT, and having to prove the value of our ODU degree and experience against all the other showponies from the BCS powerhouses in the professional workplace.
TH validates that a straight-A student is better than some C-student from the BiG-10 or wherever with grit, heart, and grind.
I am happy that TH will get his shot as the underdog and will turn some heads towards the good thing we got at ODU.
He's going to be on 106.7 The Fan/Sports Junkies this morning. Like 8:30 I think. If anyone is interested. They'll post the interview in podcast form when its over.

Taylor Heinicke, HAIL!!!
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
(I'm loving this right now)
Good thoughts... The message here is be ready for your big shot. I think this applies to ODU Football in general. Look at Coastal Carolina this year. Look at us vs. Tech in 2018. We have a lot of Program changing moments to come. I hope MBB and WBB takes note...

The Jeremy Lin analogy is a good one. So happy for Taylor. His hard work and perseverance have finally paid off for him in a big way. I know we all feel this way: It's like we're all invested in his success and all feel a sense of pride for his accomplishments. We're all proud of him as we should be. He's one of us.
Same with any of our NFL Monarchs: Pascal, OX, Fulgham, Lovato, Ward, Coward, Cox... proud of all of you NFL Monarchs and happy for your successes.
