simply more evidence that JMU doesn't belong in the CAA... but the 3 musketeers made this bed.

I can tell you that Jeff Bourne was not happy that the conference voted for Flo. Which school do you think has the most fans paying for it?

On the same page --- how many subscribers from and for the CAA do you think Flo actually has?

50? 200? 350?

I just re-upped - I thought there was a monthly option but my provider (Roku) only gave me the annual option. Pricey but unfortunately the only way to watch JMU hoops this season up this way.

I subscribed on their website, and then logged in through Roku. I also opted for the monthly option. However, I may hang onto it for Football should that be necessary.

Nice gesture by ETSU... https://www.etsubucs.com/mbasketball/new...ttendance/

Bucs season ticket holders get complimentary ESPN+ subscriptions. Dumb ice CAA dealing with Flo instead of getting in bed with ESPN...I'll never understand it. But, what should I expect right? Eddie Munster doesn't have time to make good deals with ESPN. He has a practice to attend with the Hofstra Transvestite Bowling team. Sheesh.

Pretty transparent seething displeasure with the FLO sports deal from Jeff Bourne, which apparently accounts for ALL viewing options this year, not just some with the rest on Madizone as it was last year. Our conference mates really dicked us over on this one.

https://jmusports.com/news/2020/11/20/ad...pdate.aspx

Quote:With reduced capacity, most fans will turn to broadcasts as the sole method of watching JMU events. Fans may recall, last year streaming consisted of a hybrid of games accessed via paid subscription on FloSports as part of the league's media rights agreement and games available free on our longstanding MadiZONE platform. Due to reduced total number of games across the conference, league athletic directors recently voted that all "full" productions (i.e. more than just a camera panning the event) should go to FloSports in order to hit the league's contractual obligations. This will apply to all sports.

I've hinted at this previously but in full transparency, James Madison did not (and still does not) support FloSports as the best option to meet the league's streaming needs. JMU was the lone dissenting vote. We had a platform available for free to our fans, and we were able to cover our costs via sponsorship elements within the broadcast. I'm not thrilled that our fans must pay ($12.50 on a month-to-month basis or $7.99 per month with annual subscription) to watch our events during a time when attendance is restricted. However, we are part of a conference and sometimes must abide by decisions made by the majority that might not be best for one institution.

One silver lining is that the FloSports agreement still allows institutions to pursue linear television if desired. Our goal is to provide a sampling of men's and women's basketball games and all home football games on regional television networks. However, understand that networks are also navigating uncertain times, so it will take time before we can finalize television opportunities.

Like it or not, ***** about it, complain about it... this is our Brand and we have nobody to blame but ourselves until we make a move out of this conference.
JMU sports will not be seen this winter / spring by other than a few hundred die-hard FLO subscribers / suckers.

we cannot get OUT OF THE CAA FAST ENOUGH.

Picking App to win outright/money line - I think it’s a pretty solid bet. They are better than Coastal IMO.

Hate to sound like Dukeman Jr (not really 03-lmfao). We've out grown the CAA.

Get us the hell to G5 FBS with our peers!

I think there is a proverb here somewhere.
You have to sleep in the bed you made.

There is indeed a penalty for not taking action in the last 10 years and aligning our athletic program with small minded and lesser funded programs.

Completely agreed. Statements from the admin about their displeasure mean nothing when they haven’t done anything about conference affiliation. Actions speak louder than words

Do you have a smart TV? It might be an app on there. I would also think it would be available on the Apple App store for iPad, iPhone, etc.

Looks like WBB has replaced the Marquette game with a game against Buffalo on Nov. 30, Mon., at 4pm... https://jmusports.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
