Games Canceled/Moved/Postponed .... November 4 - 7
Once again, let's keep track of games scheduled for this week (Wednesday 11/4 - Saturday 11/7) that are *announced now* as moved, postponed, or canceled, regardless of reason.

Please list only games where the announcement of a change is made on Monday, November 2 and after. We are trying to track fresh announcements, no need to mention changes that were announced earlier.

As of November 5 ....

Air Force vs Army .......................... TBA, possibly December 19

Louisiana Tech @ North Texas ......... TBA, shooting for December 5

Charlotte vs Middle Tennessee ......... TBA

Utah @ Arizona ........... canceled

UTSA @ Rice ............... TBA

Tulsa @ Navy ............... TBA

FIU @ UTEP ............... canceled

Louisville @ Virginia .... postponed to November 14

Wisconsin @ Purdue .... canceled

Washington @ Cal ....... canceled

One more and they are out of the Big 10 title race.

FIU cancels on UTEP saying they don't have enough healthy players.

To be clear, if any team on Wisconsin's remaining schedule cancels through no fault of the Badgers, they are also disqualified from the B1G FCG, correct?

So being 0-3 had nothing to do with it?

If 7 total Big Ten games are cancelled, the average number of games teams will have played will be 7, meaning if Wisconsin plays only 5, they will STILL be CCG eligible, because they are within 2 of the conference average.

Not necessarily. From the B1G:

"a team must play at least six games to be considered for participation in the championship game. However, if the average number of conference games played by all teams falls below six, with the average rounded up/down at .50 (i.e. 6.50 or greater would round up to 7, 6.49 or less would round down to 6), then teams must play no less than two fewer conference games than the average number of conference games played by all teams (i.e. four games played if the conference average is six)to be considered."

So as "Crayton" says above, if enough other games are canceled to bring the average number of games played down to seven, then Wisky (or anyone else) could make the CCG if they played five games.

game added: Gardner-Webb at Charlotte, Nov 14

CUSA rescheduled all its outstanding fixtures (to borrow a soccer term) for the weeks of 12/5 and 12/12 except for FIU-UTEP. With both the Panthers and Miners having two previous league games to make up, there is simply no room to play this one, and it's gone.

Keep an eye on the possibility of Tulsa-Arkansas State, SMU-TCU, and/or Georgia State-Charlotte getting played the week of 12/12.

Excellent information. Though would just note that Marshall's game this Saturday, vs UMass, is still on.

Tulsa at Navy 7 November postponed.
COVID outbreak with Navy football (and men's and women's crew). "Minimal positive COVID-19 cases" but contact tracing and quarantine increase the numbers unavailable.

The conference is working on rescheduling - no shared open dates.

Thanks ... That makes 4 games canceled/postponed this week, I think that is the most we've had so far in any given week. Hope they can find a way to play it, but it doesn't look good.

Double-tapping what's already on the AAC board...Navy is open 28 Nov and 5 Dec. Would have to move Tulsa at Houston (28th) or Cinincinnati at Tulsa (5th) to 12 Dec

“It would require moving some other games around,” Gladchuk said. “There are conversations within the conference considering scenarios.”
and
“That open weekend prior to Army is critically important,” Gladchuk said. “That said, we belong to a conference and whatever decisions are made by the leadership will dictate what Navy football must do. We have an obligation to the American Athletic Conference."

I show 6 games in Week 7 and 5 each in Weeks 3 and 4. This is Tulsa's third postponement. Has anyone had more?

That's huge, a big loss for the PAC straight out of the shoot. That was ESPN's late game, wonder what they will show now?

Amazing that Cal and Washington will now start their "season" no earlier than November 14, a date at which most seasons are winding down.

Last year, for example, by November 13th Cal had played *9 games*, 75% of their regular season. On this November 13th, they will have played zero.

Terrible.
