This became public knowledge days before the SMU victory.

He will be gone soon.

I do agree with a lot of things you say and think.

Perhaps not the delivery. 03-lmfao

Half the schools that signed on to that letter were public schools. JMU reversed course, which was the right decision. I believe our next president should be someone with experience raising a school's profile and donations.*

Will Dixie State, Soft Houston, and Tarleton go FBS before us via the revived WAC?

ASUN will likely do the same at some point.

Think you are probably looking at a decade ... maybe 5 years is possible if they go full press on it.

I’d prefer to see us go Sunbelt/CUSA if possible, but if choosing between CAA and ASun, it looks like ASun has more potential.

Indeed, but this is what happens when a conference is being pulled in several directions, everyone hates everyone, and nothing gets done.

It reminds me of the scene in the musical "1776" when John Hancock (I think?) asks the NY state delegate why he constantly abstains and doesn't have any decision from the NY legislature. The delegate then responds with a great line, to paraphrase: "Have you ever been to a NY meeting? Everyone just yells over top of everyone else until the meeting ends and nothing ever gets done."

That's the CAA. That's why the other regional conferences are passing us by while we sit with our collective thumbs up our @$$es.

Quote:Sounds like UNA and KSU will play FB in the ASUN. Joined by UCA. Reports indicate EKU & JSU are likely to join as well

So it seems like 5 of the 6 ASun members will be UNA, KSU, UCA, EKU, JSU. The 6th member is less certain.

If all these schools are FBS before we are, I might vomit. Of course we said that about Liberty and Oduh not that long ago.

Is there a forum available so that the JMU leadership can communicate where they stand on these matters?

No matter how long things take, just keep your program strong! That is the most important thing that you all as supporters can do. Very few have the power to change or pick leadership, president. No matter what, keep donating and communicating your vision that you hope for your program.

Agree but the sad truth at JMU, continueing to donate while not getting the admin's vision for the program enables remaining in the CAA at all costs.

We just don't have much cumulative moxie amonst the leaders which may be by design. Maybe the state is more interested in other state schools shining bright?
