Personally, I think that even if we don't win, we beat the spread.

I'm going with the hopeful pick:

(25) Liberty - 42
Virginia Tech - 38

I think our scrambling QB, combined with our run defense, is just enough to pull this victory.

This aged well.

Congrats Liberty. Love those G5 wins over a P5 school. Like I have been saying...Freeze may be bit slimey but he is a good football coach.

Was this the biggest win in program history? It was our first game ranked and we played an in-state P5 (that is above .500) school on the road.

The bowl win may have been bigger just because it was a postseason game, but I think this surpasses the Baylor win.

I think it is the biggest for a number of reasons:

1) Beat one of the in-state P5’s in a good season for them

2) Puts us at 7-0 for the first time ever

3) That finish

4) That postseason win is definitely up there, but Georgia Southern’s record & our demolishing of them gives a nail-biting win against VT the edge.

I agree with these points. I'll also add that this is the first time LU won a game as a Top-25 team.

Add my congratulations and well-wishes to the list. A fantastic win, in a fantastic season. Both of which will pay dividends for a long time.

And now Liberty is ranked 22nd in the Coaches poll. AP poll (where they were ranked 25 last week) still to come out. Rather unbelievable development
